I am getting rid of big toys-play kitchen, doll center, some pulling wagons.

I noticed that they love playing with smaller things like sorting, little cars, puzzles and play dough sets are their favorites.

That is so funny, I got my kids more doll stuff for Christmas... DD is still totally into it... and the kitchen/play food stuff too.

I went through their small toys the week end before Christmas and got rid of pretty much everything that wasn't duplos, small cars, play kitchen stuff, train stuff, and blocks. I kept one small bin of random little ponies and figurines. I got rid of two boxes full of mismatched pieces (like accessories for dress up dolls that the dog ate and stuff...).

For the bigger toys, I kept the little people vehicles because they still like them, but I put away the little people playsets and people last year sometime... All what's left pretty much in their big bins are dolls, stuffed animals, dress up stuff, random vehicles and Imaginext stuff. And they still have the kitchen and baby accessories.

Honestly though the office is full of bins and boxes of toys that they have outgrown... I need to take the time to sort them out and try and sell/donate them soon...

I got rid of the Little People stuff by four, as well as odds and ends toys that the kids didn't play with that often. I also packed up their puppets, a toy puppy that talked, some easier puzzles/books that they are past and some Dora stuff that my daughter had outgrown. I packed a couple of large boxes up after Christmas and they haven't missed a thing yet.
