My mom was asking me today what toys the babies might like for their 1st birthday... Honestly, they really just have small toys right now... Mostly hand me down stuff... They are a little board with what they have, but at least they have something!!! SO, I would like to really consider what to get them for first birthday toys since there wont be much... Any ideas?

I asked this question and interestingly enough Mega Blocks came back as a popular one. Also, ball pits.

I just bought them used Bounce and Spin Zebras at the MOM sale and also a LeapFrog Learning Table.

ETA: Their birthday is two days before Christmas, so I needed to find quite a few things to give them.

Mine love their activity table. We have the Leapfrog music table (from ds1 and it still works perfectly). The legs come off so you can lay it on the floor for them to play with before they can stand/pull up.

For their birthdays it will be the fisher price laugh and learn home (found it for $30 on craigslist) and a rocking caterpillar. I got them activity tables for Christmas.

I want to get them some kind of activity table and I think it's called Fisher Price Super Star. I remember seeing a comercial and it looked like so much fun. I was also thinking about that Fisher Price House. I figured it something they can't fight over!

First birthday presents that my girls loved:

    Laugh and Learn Piano
    Play tunnel
    Ride on toys
Cozy Coupe Cars (get two- trust me!)

I am working on a ball pit. They can't get enough of balls at this point so I think they will really enjoy it. I am going to create my own out of a blow up froggie pool with a half cover (to help contain the balls) and balls I found clearanced at target as "out of season."

My family was already looking for ideas for Christmas and birthdays and based on some previous threads as well I suggested maybe a push/car kinda toy, and an activity table.

I have the same problem. The babies birthday is the day after Christmas, so we really have to put our creative hats on. The one thing that is good is that they don't know the "deal" about Christmas and their birthday, so we could get away with not a lot of toys. I already sent my SIL a list of books that we think the babies would enjoy for Christmas and their birthday. Our babies love books!

    Ours love books too!
Probably the Radio Flyer double wagon & some push/ride on toys too :)
I would love a ball pit, but not sure where it would go in our already crowded house!
