What to wear while napping?

My daughters used to nap in their papasan chairs and I would cover them with a flannel receiving blanket (tucked in around the bottom so they couldn't pull it up over their heads). Now, however, they're napping in their cribs most of the time and I'm not really sure what's best to dress them in for naps.

At night they wear long sleeve footed pajamas and a velour Halo sleep sack (armless) over that. They wear all sorts of outfits during the day depending on the temperature, usually long sleeve/long pants outfits with no feet, or short sleeve onesies and cotton pants. So when I put them down for naps, should I put them in their sleep sacks? What do you all do?

Oh - I live in New Mexico so it's still pretty warm. At 4:45 in the afternoon, it is 65 degrees out and probably about 75 in my house because we get a ton of sunshine. I usually have the air conditioning going in the afternoons but it's never colder than 72 inside. It gets really cold at night outside (high 30s) and probably high 60s or low 70s inside my house.

    Thanks!

if my kids fell asleep dressed - thats the way they were put in the crib...I never changed them for naps - and we never used sleep sacks - my kids are FAR too warm for that!

I have both heavy and light sleep sacks, and use them for both naps & night sleep according to temperature. The light ones are like a t-shirt.

Mine are pretty much in the very thin light weight Gerber sleep-n-plays all day. They are a very light cotton but they are long sleeve with feet, they seem pretty comfortable in them. Mine sleep on their bellies now so if it seems cold I just lay a blanket over their bottom halves.

We always did sleep sacs for night and I just put a blanket over them (bottom half of them) for naps.

I use the sleep sacs over their regular clothes. If they're wearing jeans or something less comfortable, I take off their pants. They seem very content with what I'm doing.

During the day, my kiddos wear long-sleeved onesies and knit pants, plus socks. If it's warm during naptime, I'll sometimes take off either the pants or the socks....otherwise I just put them down in that. I don't put them in jeans or overalls or anything else uncomfortable at home -- if they happen to be wearing something like that, I'll change them into their usual onesies and pants before naptime.

At night, we've been doing long-sleeved onesies and Halo fleece sleep sacks....but Atlanta weather is unpredictable, and it's been hot here the last couple of days, and the babies are just sweating in the fleece sacks -- so I think I need to go get some of the knit sleep sacks, too....
