    A book?
    A box set of books?
    Music?
    A DVD?
Do they still have those Kaboodles things, to organize her hair stuff or art stuff?

I am in the exact same boat as you, exactly! We bought her a mp3 last year, a cheap one without a screen. I'm wondering about getting her a "little" better one with a screen. But she may think "I already have one of these" kwim? And you can only buy so many art sets.

So far I've bought her a sticker maker (Xyron at hobby stores), the Crayola crayon maker, new headphones (kid friendly) for her mp3 player and in the car, a small set of stamps for her stocking, a few lip sticks. That's all I can think of so far. I'm totally at a loss as to what to get her from Santa. She says she wants Barbies, dolls, etc but she NEVER plays with the ones that she has so I am NOT buying her any of those!

I hope to get some ideas too!

Would she like a magazine subscription to something like "Highlights"? She might enjoy a gift card to someplace like Michaels or Hobby Lobby where she can pick whatever she wants. Sarah is getting some high heeled (just over 1") black boots that she drooled over in the store for her bday. Sarah also wants her own private set of pink Legos. She already has a private set of pink Tinkertoys that she won't share.

How about something like a dance or gymnastics class? Magazine subscription? Jewelry? Craft stuff?

She sounds a lot like my 6 yr. old. She is getting a camera b/c I kept asking her enough times if she'd like one that I think she finally thought it sounded cool. She does want Zhu Zhu pets, so that helps. We are getting her a little folding desk that she can sit on the couch or floor and do her homework or crafts on. She wants Bendaroos big time. I also found a cool kids laptop on sale around Thanksgiving for only $30. She loves arts and crafts so that is what she'll be getting from most people I think as well as some DS games.

How about puzzles. They have those 3D ones. I recently saw one shaped like a globe.

Oh this is a cute idea.

I also have a DD like this. The one thing she loves is to cook with me so she is getting some kid size kitchen tools and an embroidered apron with her name on it. We will see how it goes over on the big day.

Chickadee or National Geographic for kids are both great subscriptions.

What about a jewelry making kit or a tie dye kit? You could also get her some canvases and mod podge so that she can make collage art as well as painting. it would be a good way to introduce her to mixed media & she could use left over jewelry bits from the jewelry kit in her collages.
