In addition to what you're already doing you can use a wet washcloth on their forehead or back of their neck to help bring down the fever. It will be ok to give them Tylenol to keep down the fever during the day too. Try to keep them elevated in the car seat or bouncy when they sleep so the yuck will drain into their tummies and hopefully keep their ears and sinuses snot free. Lots of snuggling and cuddling and whatever soothing things they like.

Don't hesitate to call the pedi or go to the ER if they can't keep down any food, have lots of diarrhea or vomit a lot and you think they are becoming dehydrated OR if their fever spikes above 104o.

Good luck, I hope your son gets well soon and I hope your littlest dd avoids the germies!

Sorry, yuck. We just got over colds in our house. The other thing is to nurse them more (if you're BF). They need the extra fluids and they will benefit from the antibodies and comfort too. Get well soon!

Katie's had a few cold symptoms as well... I've given her saline drops for her nose and that helps keep it cleaned out good. I was also prescribed some eye drops and that has helped as well.

I got the saline drops put out by little remedies. Just lay them down like you are when changing their diaper and they drop right into their noses. The little remedies is a nose spray/nose drop

I know we got some saline drops for their normal newborn stuffiness and the pedi told us to put one drop in each nostril and take the bulb syringe and suction as much out as we can and do this right before feeding them.
