What do you do when your kids are still in cribs, but are too big for Pack n Plays when traveling? Any ideas? THanks!

Are yours outgrowing the PNPs? Mine are going on 2.5 and we still use the PNPs on trips. If climbing is a problem I know you can get tents for them. One Step Ahead has a little blow up toddler bed for trips HERE. Mine would never stay in it though! Maybe when they're 3!

We used the PNPs until they were at least 2.5, adn my boys are big. While they were still in cribs at home at that point, they did OK in beds when we traveled.

Depending on where you are traveling there are places that you can rent cribs and other baby items. This is what we did when we visited the in-laws in FL. It worked out great.

We bought bed rails & pushed one side of a bed up against the wall. This worked great at Disney. We did have to lay down with them untill they fell asleep though.

We used the ones mentioned above from One Step Ahead from the time they were 2. I LOVE them, I know they are pricey but they are big and we have used them a lot.

We travelled a lot this past summer right after the girls turned 2 and we just put them in a big girl bed with rails together. We didn't have a single issue with it. But....they had been climbing out of their cribs for a while so that sense of having them contained was already gone for me, so I didn't have much of an adjustment with their new found freedom to come and go. Yours are almost ready to be out of cribs anyway, so I'd start the transition while travelling so you know what you're in for when you make it permanent.

Katie, Your kids don't fit in PNP anymore? I"m confused. They aren't that large!! I think if it's getting out that's the issue the PNP tents would work. Good luck!

We have the Travel PNPs and they are definitely smaller than the fullsize PNP. We just used them last month and I can see that they will grow out of them pretty soon. Maybe make sure the ones you have are not the smaller ones. Also, last time we stayed at a hotel, they had PNPs for guests to borrow.
