Guys, can anyone tell me what to do if the pipes suddenly back up and the water starts rising in the sink? It's especially scary at night. Is there any point in waiting until morning, or is this a time when I need to call emergency services?

This situation is hellish. One night, my bathtub filled with water from the drain, and it was completely impossible to stop on my own. If the water comes back up, it's 100% certain there's a major blockage somewhere down there. There's no way to fix it on your own.

I remember one time, it all started with a barely audible gurgling sound, and a couple of minutes later, a real flood started flowing back through the pipes—the moment when you realize there are no more home remedies. In such situations, it's best not to wait a minute, because water can quickly overflow the plumbing and cause much more trouble. That's when I found an emergency service that operates 24/7 on this website: https://bens.plumbing/services/drain-cleaning-seattle/emergency/ . The technicians arrived faster than I could even gather up my rags and immediately determined that there was a deep blockage in the main drain. They used specialized equipment to puncture the line, flush the pipes, and showed me how to prevent a recurrence. And here's the important thing: you can't "wait out" problems like these until morning, because the longer you wait, the higher the risk of damage and expenses.
