So both my babies (and myself) have colds. Probably from daycare :(
I have been using saline drops and the sucker thing, but there are still congested. I propped the bed mattress up and we've been using a humidifier. Any other suggestions to help the cold?
I know that I feel pressure and stuff and I take tylenol to make myself feel better but I just don't know if I should be giving them some too, if they don't have a fever.
What do you do for a cold?

Pretty much all you can do, you are doing. Saline drops, bulb syringe, sleep them on an incline, humidifier. Sometimes I use the J and J Vapo stuff that goes in the bathtub and give them a nice warm bath before I put them to bed. I hope you all feel better soon.

It sounds like you are doing everything right! I would not give them anything OTC, as it is not recommended. I hope everyone is feeling better soon.

There are no OTC cold meds approved for babies, like pp said. It sounds like you're doing everything right and the cold will run it's course. Hope everyone is feeling better soon  .

Stefan is sick too. I am doing exactly what you are. I do give him Tylenol though. Usually when he is just so crabby that he can't seem to calm down. I figure if I have a headache being all stuffy, he probably does too. Ask your Dr. how much to give. Besides a headache, they may just be achy. A little Tylenol once in a while doesn't hurt. I know when I give it to Stefan, he calms down and is able to sleep. I finally took mine in, he has a sinus infection and is now on amox. If it lasts longer than 2 weeks and they aren't getting better, go in... that is what my ped. told me to do. Especially with RVS going around. It's that time of the year. Hope you all are feeling better soon!

I would give them the Tylenol. I know we hate giving babies any medicine, but if it will make them feel better, it's ok. The only other thing I can think of is to make sure they are getting pleanty of fluids.

Hope you all feel better soon!
