I was wondering what time do your kids go to bed and what time do they get up. Mine go to sleep between 6.30/ 7pm and wake up around 6/ 6.30 am. I want to make their bed time a little bit later so they sleep later in the morning but my partner likes putting them down at 7pm so we can get some us time. So what do you do regarding sleep and waking up x

I usually put the girls down around 7.30pm although has got later with the summer. But find the going to bed time doesn't make a difference to the wake up time its always the same 6.45am if they go to bed at 7pm or 9pm.

Ours are in their beds at 6:45 (usually asleep at 7) and wake up between 7 and 8. On weekdays, DH gets them up at 7:15 so that he can dress them and play with them for a few minutes before he leaves. On the weekends, they usually sleep till nearly 8.

My girls have had an 8 o'clock bedtime since birth (lights out in the NICU was 8 o'clock). They used to get up around eight. Now that they're older they usually get up at seven.

ditto to amanda and jicjac. mine go to bed at 7:30 and are up usually by 5:30. it just doesn't seem to matter if i put them to bed later, they still wake up pretty much at same time. unfortunately, if i put them to bed earlier, they do wake up earlier :icon_eek: i just can't seem to win with this whole sleep thing. i would love to put them to bed later and hope that they would wake up later but i value the me and me and dh time that i/we have in the evenings. since we are never able to go out on "dates" it is the only time we have for us.

I put my girls to bed at 6pm and they sleep until 6am. I tried putting them to bed around 7pm in hopes of them sleeping until 7am and they still got up at 6am. :(

Same with me 7:30 bed; 6:30/45 wake up. Doesn't matter if I put them to bed a bit late they still wake the same time. It works fine with our schedule though.

We put them down between 6:30 and 7, but they are rarely actually asleep by 7, so chose 7-8. And they usually wake up around 6:30.

If we are doing something in the evening sometimes they go to bed later (8ish), but they still wake up at 6:30. Maybe if we tried to keep them up later on a regular basis, they would eventually start sleeping later, but we really like the "adult time," so we want to keep their bedtime early!

Mine go down between 8 and 8:30 and are up between 7 and 7:30. Typically it doesn't matter what time they go to bed- they are always up around the same time.

We shoot for 7-7:30 because they get up around 6:30 no matter when they went to bed. If I put them down too late, they're cranky when they wake. If I put them down earlier, they will wake earlier. It was a process of trial and error to determine when to put them to bed.

The girls go to bed at 7 (asleep by 8) and up between 6 &7 (alhtough one sometimes rises earlier!).

    They nap from 12-2.

We tried a later bedtime and wake up stayed the same...naps got longer, which I did not want!!

Bedtime is 7:00, occasionally 7:30 if we went out to eat or something was going on. Ainsley seems to go to sleep right away, at least I don't hear anything out of her, but Bea stays up for 30 min banging on her crib and jumping around. They normally wake about 7:15. Same as other PP's, doesn't matter what time I put them to bed, they always wake up the same time.

The boys go to sleep between 8-8:30 and wake around 7-7:30, but the last week Carter has been waking at like 6-6:30. I think it's because it's really light in his bedroom.

All of my kids (including the girls) go to bed at 8:30. The girls usually wake up around 7 and nap for about 3 hours in the afternoon.

We go upstairs at 8:30 and brush our teeth, prayers, etc. The twins then go down to bed and my son hears storyies for another 15-30 minutes (9-9:15ish). Then in the morning my oldest wakes up between 7-8 and the twins wake up at 8:30.

my girls go to bed between 9 and 10 and get up between 9 and 10 usually closer to 9. We don't have dinner till 7:30 so that has a big part of it(breakfast when they wake up and lunch between 1 and 2)

We start getting ready for bed at about 7:30 and they are in bed by 8. They wake up sometime between 7 and 8am. I have an alarm clock in their room set quietly for 7:30 and they know they aren't allowed to get out of bed until that goes off.

My guys are on a late schedule. We try to get them down at 9:30, but sometimes it is later if we go to a game or something. However, they do not get up until 10am on most days (if they get up to go potty before 9am they go back to sleep). My DH does not get home until 6-6:30pm so we do not eat dinner until later. There late wake up time lets me get work done in the morning before they get up.

Most nights my girls are in bed by 7:30 and up at about 7:15. I really love this schedule for us. I really love that DH and I have quiet time in the evenings. I stay in bed each morning until they wake.

During the school year on school nights (Annie went to preschool T/TH) we started getting ready for bed at 8, all down by 8:30. I'd have to wake up Annie at 7 and the babies at 7:50 to leave the house at 8. Now that it's summer we're more relaxed. Usually they are all in bed by 9-9:30 and wake up between 8:30-9. If Annie takes a nap she'll stay up later. The babies usually nap for 2-4 hours in the afternoon depending on how hard they played after breakfast

They are both in bed before 7:30. They usually wake up after 6:30 but lately it has been around 7 or after.

My boys go down between 8-9 (sometimes later!) and are up between 8-9. I've been getting up before them to work out, do laundry, check e-mail, etc.
