What time do they go down and how long do they nap?

What time do other 2 year olds go down for their nap? We have been on one nap for almost a year now. At first they went right to sleep at noon and slept for 2 - 3 hours. Now, they go down between 12:30 and 1, giggle for an hour (or more), sleep 40 minutes (if I'm lucky) and are cranky the rest of the day.

I've debated about putting them down for their naps later, like 1 - 1:30, but would really like to keep their bedtimes at 7 - 7:30. They usually sleep until 7:30 - 8 in the morning.

I'm curious what other kids are doing at this age.

I was able to keep the same nap time from 9 months till current for my oldest who is 31 months. 12 - 2. Some days she gets up earlier and others later.

You say they used to go down at 12n and sleep well...was there a specific reason they now go down closer to 1p? Napping issues are so hard....you can only try different things to see what is going on. It could be that they aren't tired now until 130p, so maybe keeping them up and active will make them more tired. It could also be that they are overtired by 1p and that is why they are having a hard time settling and staying asleep. You could try putting them down again closer to 12n if that works for your schedule and see how they do. Sounds like their night time routine is great!

Mine are 22 months but have never been great sleepers. We put them down around 630p/7p and they are always up by 6a (and they don't always fall asleep quickly/easily)! They are actually just transitioning to one nap and it is usually only 2 hours (12n-2p) which is terrible. When my older two each transitioned to one nap they slept 3 hours at a time at least! I miss those days... I am always trying to figure out what I should be doing to get them to be better nappers!

Mine are 20 months old and go down for a nap at 1 and usually sleep until 4 most days. Sometimes my DS is up between 3-3:30.

My boys are 20 months and wake around 7:30. They usually nap from 1:00-4:00 and are in bed at 7:30. Some days, like today they nap a lot longer. Today I woke them at 5, so a 4 hour nap! They went right to sleep at 7:30. They had their flu shot today so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.

My boys will be two next month. We've been on one nap since probably 14/15 months or so. They wake anywhere from 6-7:30am(are mine the only NONconsistent sleepers?). They go down for nap usually around 1pm(unless I am trying to have them go down with their sister, then maybe 1:30pm). Bedtime WAS 7 before the summer came. Now it's anywhere between 7-8pm. But-they never had a hard time going to bed, even if one got up from nap at 5pm. Oh-and if they go down at 1 they could sleep until 2:30pm or later. Ya just never know!

Mine are almost 16 months old and I transitioned them to one nap recently as they have started daycare in the afternoons. Mine nap from 1-3pm. I often have to wake them at 3pm so they get to nursery on time. At weekends I leave them and they´ll wake themselves at 3pm - typical!

Mine are in bed at 9pm and will sleep until 8.30-9am. I live in Spain hence the later bedtime (they´ll be at nursery until 8pm).
