What the heck are you two doing in there?

Ever wonder what exactly they are doing when your belly starts twitching and rolling like you stuck two kittens in a pillowcase?

From the feel of things, my boys are having a wrestling match, frequently punctuated by punches and kicks below MY belt!!! And then--somebody headbutts me in the ribs!!!!

I have a feeling I am going to be the arbiter of many a tussle if intrauterine activity is any indication!!!

I can so relate to your situation right now! I had to go in at about 12 weeks....these guys were actually head butting each other...it was causing me great discomfort....the dr was cracking up when he saw it on sonogram! they were just below my belly button head to head...with their feet extended to either side....I was miserable for hours! LOL

    Take care

I love when they do it! but i do wonder all the time... a few days ago it felt like my stomach was getting sucked it! and that sure was wierd... like i wish i had an ultrasound at home so i could turn it on and see what they are actually doing in there... but every day they kick and move a little bit more...!

Oh yeah...we busted them on ultrasound...my lil boy was kicking his sister in the head and in her stomach. They go at it quite often. He just got caught on tape. LOL....The next ultrasound he was flipped over with his butt in her face not able to kick her and she was turned over away from him..Lil sissy had enough....I think when she wasn't growing well it was becasue she was always fighting with her brother and expending all her energy...I feel most of the movement from her...I don't know if she is the meanie or him...

Hee! I love hearing stories of what they are actually doing when you see them on ultrasound!!!

I love feeling them move like that--even when it makes me uncomfortable. I do like to rest my hands on my belly and try to identify body parts as I feel them drag across my skin! Sometimes I turn on the music on my computer and let them have themselves a dance party. :)

My favorite time is when I eat a banana or some ice cream, and it really gets them moving. Once on ultrasound we seen that Baby B was bullying Baby A- she kept smacking at her, as if to say, hey, wake up and play! But I do love now that I can sit back on the couch and watch my belly roll around- it is kind of creepy though- but so cute. And I love when they drag their hands or whatever and you can watch it go from the top down to the mid of my belly! Too funny.

I could barely sleep last night - they SURE DO get moving when they get bigger!

our little girls have headbutted each other, punched each other adn donkey kicked each other... it makes me nervous! i'm gonna have rambunctious little ladies! baby B has her butt all the way on baby A's side, so she's taking up all this room, and at the last U/S, baby A was smacking her sister's butt, trying to get her to move. poor thing, she's all smooshed up in my side!

I love being at 26 weeks because they react to loud sounds now. For 2 days my baby boy didn't move and I got to the point where I was starting to worry.
They are little rockabilly punkrock babies and whenever that music is playing they are calm and diggin it.
So I was driving to work and I put on hip-hop really, really loud so that my car was vibrating and they boy moved :) Not a lot but enough for me to know hes still rockin' and rollin'. And then today he's been moving pretty consistently so all worries are gone!!
The girl though man below the belt all the time!! I don't think they have boxing matches. Their seperate sacs pretty much prevent them from doing that!

A friend of my mom's had twins, and one came out with a black eye from all the kicking they did!

My little one, baby A, was so far down because her sister, B, took up so much space. But A was the kicker and mover! She completely turned breech at 33 weeks!!!!!
