My girls are so darn picky! I am looking for some new ideas that are healthy. I will send them with water often and I like the Capri Roaring Waters.

Any suggestions has to something different???

We pretty much use the Capri Roaring Waters every day. If it's really hot I'll freeze them and use them to supplement the ice pack to help keep the lunch cold.

Just make sure their lunch period is late enough that they will thaw in time for lunch. I know DD's lunch in K was at 1050. I send her with a 100% juice box.

I just send ice water for their snack. The kids buy milk or chocolate milk (the only kind of milk my daughter will drink; I coddle her on this because I don't drink milk at all myself) to drink with their lunches.

Just curious, what is a popper? Is that soda?

I only do it on really hot days, especially for my 3rd grader who doesn't eat until 12:40. The school is not air conditioned and on a 80-90 degree day the ice pack doesn't go real far. I will also put a frozen one in the twins lunch for after school snack at daycare if they will be there for snack.

My kids always just buy milk in the cafeteria for lunch. As far as I know, they don't have any other drinks during the day except at the good old water fountain. ;)

  14. Mine are still in Pre-K but they stay for "lunch bunch". My boys are big milk drinkers. I looked EVERYWHERE for a lunch box with a thermos. They don't sell them anywhere! They come with water bottles, or nothing.

I finally went on ebay and found some cute Mickey Mouse lunch boxes that each came with a thermos. No one brings milk to school anymore. But I guess in public school, you can buy milk.

They are so excited to pour their milk into the little cup that comes on the top of the thermos! Lunch bunch doesn't start until next week, but they can't wait!
