since i have three under 2, i've decided that i need a sling for walks and the zoo this summer. which by the way i can't wait for -I'm getting MAJOR cabin fever.

I have tried the new native, but my twins don't really like it. they don't like that laying down position. maybe they will like it better whent they are older.

which ones to you recommend? the love facing forward when i hold them. are their any that will do that?

    THANKS~!

We got a Hip Hammock instead of a sling, and I really really like it. I can take Kevin in it everywhere including in the house and its a lot less strain on my back than a regular carrier and it holds a larger baby well too. Playtex makes the regular version for about $29 at BRU.

I liked the native sling, but didn't start to use it until the girls were at least 5 months old, so they were not laying down in it. They loved sitting up in it and it didn't hurt my back and shoulders. The hip hammock didn't work for me, though my dh used his a lot and the snugli hurt my back when they got over 3 or 4 months.

So for me the native sling was the greatest. I had the over the shoulder baby holder sling when the girls were tiny, but found it to be too much of a hassle to adjust constantly. I used the native from about 5 months until 18 months daily since we have to walk a fair distance to our carport from the front door of our apt. Maybe when your kids are older they'll like it or another sling more since the hold will be different then. There is a great website called
    www.thebabywearer.com
that has tons of different slings listed. Maybe you'll find what you are looking for there.

    GL with the search,

I loved my sling, I used it with Joy all the time. I would take the boys to the park and she would be nice and snug and would have a great nap! I could also put the twins in the stroller and have her in the sling. Another nice thing about mine was that it had little pockets where I put my keys and some money/credit cards. That was great when I would go shopping and just would put Joy in the sling and go....

I also liked it because it didn't look like a sling and people had no idea I had a baby in there...

Once I was in an elevator and Joy was in the sling. An elderly woman got on with her oxygen tank, which she kept in a bag. She looked at me and was completely serious and said: "Do you have oxygen in there too?" I smiled and said, "No, I have a baby in here..." She laughed and said she didn't beleive me, so I had to show her Joy to prove it to her!

I use a pouch type sling. I really like how this one fits and it is adjustable.
