Just wondering about shoe size for 9-12 month old.

    TIA!

ETA: Not soft shoes (ie: Robeez style) but Nike-type athletic shoes.

If I remember correctly they were in a size 3 around 9 months but definately in a 4 by 12 months, regular sneakers.

    Hannah's first pair of shoes (around 11 months I think) was a size 3.5 and Ben's was a 5XW.

The boys are right at 10 months old now and they are in 5 1/2 W. Reeboks and Nikes are too narrow but New Balance seems to be a little wider as well as the Stride Rite.

Mine wore size 2 at that age, but they have very small feet.

2's just fit... So I would say 3's.

DD fit into 4 (still got room to grow into them) while DS fit into 5 (but will outgrow those quick). The shoes were Stride Rites. DS has big feet compared to DD who is more petite and I think she is more "average for her age".

We didn't use shoes until 13 months and they wore a 5 then. Their feet grow so fast and as you can see from the responses that there is a wide variance of normal so the best bet is to have them measured rather than trying to guess at what size looks right.

At 12 months mine wore and still do a size 4, with some room to grow.

The girls were in 3 but Dax is in a 4. This may be an unneeded reminder but some parents don't know so I'll say it anyway :); hard-soled shoes are bad for developing feet because the kids grow out of them before you notice and it impeded their growth and they also don't allow them to feel the ground when they are learning to walk. If the shoes are just for looks for a special occasion they're fine but not for everyday use. The sole of all everyday children's shoes should bend very easily.

No clue...mine didn't have their first pair of shoes until they started walking around 14 months old. Then I think they were around a size 4 maybe???
