I heard good review on those "Baby Bjorn" potty. They are coming out with new colors! I am planning on going ahead and buy 2 for Rianna and Justin. I thought of having them learn to sit in it for fun. If I have to go, I would tell them Mommy going potty if I stay consistent with it. Maybe, they'll be ready on their own but I won't push them. What do you think?

FWIW, I had two (white) Baby Bjorn potties and they were peed in a grand total of three times!! When they actually trained they went straight to the big potty with a ring. I think the Baby Bjorn potties are fine, but our girls just didn't use them. They liked to turn the bowl over and wear it like a cowboy hat though.

I have one Baby Bjorn potty.....they're not ready to really start training, but they're starting to get the idea of what it is. For awhile, dd was really using it a lot & saying "poop" or "potty" and actually going! Then the holidays hit & it was absolute chaos here & that kind of got left behind. However, ds was trying to tug his diaper off last night & dh took him in and he sat right down on his potty & peed.....a tiny bit. :)

I like them b/c they're simple - nothing to distract them from their 'business'. And easy to clean! I have a bottle of bleach in the tall bathroom cabinet & if the potty gets used I just put it in the sink (fits just fine) with a little bleach water.

I also liked the fact that they have smaller ones. Probably this next summer is when we'll be potty training & we go camping a lot during the summer. So I can get the little small ones to take camping & they won't have to transition to a different style. That's the plan, anyway. You know how kids can change those! ;)

We just bought two of the super cheap training potties that are like a 3-in-1 potty with a detachable toilet ring (we kept one in the bathroom and one in the car for road trips, park visits, and long stays at other houses). Hannah used the whole concoction to train, but Ben just used the ring.

we had the small baby bjorn, the little one piece jobber. it was REALLY great! But once they outgrew that, we just went with a potty ring and a step stool.

I bought a baby bjorn potty and another brand by fisher price. I think it is called a royal something. They never took to the small potty chairs. They would take the cup out and wear it on their heads. I ended up just buying potty seats, and I think it was a wise choice.

We have done everything in this house. We have a potty seat that goes on the floor. We have potty rings. When we are downstairs, Dani likes the potty seat on the floor. Upstairs before bed, she is fine with the elmo seat. Sometimes with a step stool sometimes not.
She has no problem going a a big potty without a seat when we are out.
