What new toy should I add at 8 months?

Hi all,

My babies are just over 8 months and although we have an exersaucer and a jumperoo, I was thinking it may be nice to add something new into the mix such as one of the musical tables or the Fisher Price Superstar Stage.

What toys do you have that are a real hit for babies around this age???

I would get a Learning Table that they can pull up on and learn to cruise around. We had Fisher-Price one and a LeapFrog one. A very good buy IMO.

 

It really depends on your babies. Mine haven't totally understood the concept of cause and effect yet, so electronic toys are just things they like touching, mouthing and looking at so far. They'll want to touch the activity table for example, but when they end up making sounds they're not really aware that they caused it.

Recently I gave them the fisher price amazing animals choo choo train, and they like taking all the pieces apart and playing with them. They like their old playmat again too, and they still mostly play with infant toys.

 

the music table is the all time favorite toy in our house. They love it, I love it. It's one big love fest for that thing.

 

Our girls love the Leap Frog learning table - it's been a hit for a couple of months. Right now they also love the Fisher Price Musical Activity Barnyard:

WE have the fisher price activity table - and it was a great investment - they love it! Other then that, they like balls, rattles, toys that light up and have music and maracas.

 

We also just got an activity table. And we all love it! It has 4 different settings so it a lot of different sounds and songs.
But the fun doesn't just stop there!
DS can push it around (he's walking now) and DD can crawl under it (she's going through a weird stage)!
