Hello! I’ve been researching eco-conscious fabrics and linen keeps popping up. I’m curious—what specifically makes linen better for the environment compared to, say, organic cotton or bamboo blends?

Hi there! Linen earns its eco-friendly reputation for a few solid reasons. It’s made from flax, which grows in poor soil, doesn’t need heavy irrigation, and requires fewer chemicals than most crops. The production process is also more efficient overall. On top of that, it’s a naturally durable fabric, so you don’t need to replace it as often. I’ve been slowly switching my household items over to linen, especially my cooking wear. One of my favorite pieces is the everyday kitchen wear I picked up from The Beanchy store—it’s both beautiful and built to last.
