What little things have your LO's picked up from watching you?

For example, I was feeding the boys a sausage. It had a tough skin so I decided to pick off the skin. I didn't realize how closely Kiefer was watching me, so now when he eat, he often will pick something off the food he's about to put in his mouth. Because I ate the skins separately, he'll eat what he picks off, but not at the same time. I thought that was so cute!

 Wiping down the floor, table and trays of their feeding seats. They also imitate me sweeping and mopping. I keep thinking in a couple of years, if this continues, it might be a good thing ;)

They didn't get this from me, but at day care they must wipe their mouths with the bib after they eat because they both take off their bib when finished eating, wipe their mouths with it, and then hand it to me. It's cute. I keep meaning to ask at daycare if that's where they learned it.

 When I tell my LOs that something is a "no no" I will use my first finger on my right hand to point to emphasise this. Sometimes I dont even have to say no, I just waggle my finger at them and they know it means no. Now DS waggles his finger at me when he does something he knows he shouldn´t! It´s so funny!

My DH likes to bark at them like he's a dog. They both get a kick out of him doing that so you can imagine how often DH does it.

Well, The other day, I was walking them in their strollers down my block and a dog started to bark. Kiefer turns towards the sound of the dog (he was in someone's back yard) and says, "Woo! Woo!"

My twins were in the bath & I'd just put shampoo in their hair & was getting ready to rinse it off. But then I noticed DD sitting behind DS & massaging the shampoo into his scalp just like I do! It was so cute!!

A few off the top of my head...

When I congratulate them I usually say 'Yay!' follwed by some clapping. Alyssa almost always claps when I say 'yay' now ^_^

They've seen me wipe down almost every surface of the house so far so when they get a hold of a baby wipe they go to town pretending to clean everything - even my clothes!

    Using the remote control

And then random sounds [too difficult to type it out, lol]

They watched me use a babywipe to clean the mud off of our dog's paws the other day when we had rain. K got a hold of some wipes from my purse this evening and started wiping down the dog!

DH often does that thing where you pull your finger out of your mouth against your cheek so it makes a pop sound - the girls love it & have started trying to do it every time they see him. mostly they just stick their fingers in their mouth & say "bah!" really loudly though.

I don't know if this is genetic or imitation, but I noticed that Nate sucks his lips in his mouth a lot. I wondered why, then realized that I do it all the time!

And Jack curls his index finger over his nose when he sucks his thumb; when I'm at work and thinking hard, I cup my chin in my hand and curl my index finger over my nose. My employees make fun of me for this...it must be genetic for Jack (not imitation) because I don't get a lot of time to sit and think when I'm home with the boys!

We definitely have a remote control user in our house, and a no, no kid.

Eli also says Uh Oh ad nauseum.

They don't copy me as much as their Dad. Eli kept grabbing Daddy's computer mouse over and over again. I guess DH says let go when he grabs it. Now Eli says, "Et go" any time folks have something he doesn't like.

Mark also tries to comb his hair all the time. It's more because I comb his hair, but he has tried to comb mine a few times.

I just hope they don't haul off with an F-bomb because that will be from me. :D

My girls do the whole clean everything with a baby wipe too, lol.
It's so funny how they pick up the things we do!

 i worry about that here too! among other words that theoretically i don't have any issues with them using - it's just the context part that i'm worried about.

    These are supercute!

DH and I will tell our dog to stop barking out the window almost every morning. DS will wag his finger at our dog and say, "top, top" at him when he's barking:)

When we cheer DD on and say yay, she'll say "yay" and clap:)

Jack is like my little shadow, if I do it, he wants to do it too. I point my finger quite a bit and he does that all the time now when he is talking to me. We also use coasters on our coffee table for DH and I to put our cups on, so now Jack always wants to put his cup on the coaster. They both try to shampoo their hair and their brothers hair. James walks around pretending everything is a phone and tries to hold it between his shoulder and his chin like I do. I think that is pretty darn cute :)

I say "Alright" or "Alrighty" a lot (I don't know why - I sound like Ned Flanders), so now Jack says "Alwighty". They wipe everything with wipes and try to sweep.

They waggle their fingers and tell each other "no no".

I swear Anna did say the F bomb the other day - perfect pronunciation, but I think she was trying to say something else so we just ignored it!

My DD imitates everything I do. When I'm stressed out, I rub my forehead. I saw Leah doing this and saying ugh. I was cracking up. My DH is constantly tripping over toys so the other night, he did it again and made a noise. DD went over to every toy, pretend she tripped and made the same noise. It was so funny!

Something they picked up awhile ago is normally when I talk on the phone to a friend I'm pacing around the house while talking. Not sure why, I just do.

they will copy me - they pick up a cell phone and hold it to their ear say hello and actually have a full on conversation (in their gibberish language) to nobody while pacing around the house.

    It's so cute
