What kind of straw cups do you use?

Was reading the other post about sippy cups and a lot of you said you use straw cups. We use to have some Playtex ones but all the straw parts were lost in the dishwasher. Now I am having a hard time finding any that are not Playtex. What kind do you have? Do you lose the straw parts? Where did you buy them?

    Thanks
    Cari

We have Nuby straw cups as well as the insulated Munchkin ones.

We have three of the Munchkin ones...they are basically insulated water bottles for kids. We use these mostly for water but occasionally for milk or juice, especially if we are going somewhere that they'll be drinking it in the car/stroller. Otherwise for meals and if we are going to be eating out we use the take and toss straw cups. Kayci likes to pull the straws out but they are so cheap I don't stress about leaving some behind or throwing some out if we need to. Another thing I really like about them is that it is only three pieces. cup, lid, straw. That's it. Unlike the Munchkin ones that the straws are two parts.

We have the Playtex ones only now, but have used the Nuby and Munchkin ones in the past.

We just bought the Munckin ones and I HATE them for this reason. It's a full-scale operation just to assemble them.

I've been using the take n toss straw sippies (which are quick and easy), but Nick bites on the straw and flattens it rendering it useless to pull a thick smoothie up.

For playtex/nuby straw users: is the straw firm like the take-n-toss version, or squishy like a Munchkin? I think I need to stick to the squishy straws since I've got a biter.

I'm pretty sure you can order replacement parts for whatever brand of cups you have (I just bought some new valves for my platex cups). Google the brand and 'straw' and see what you come up with.

We use the Nuby cups - both insulated and regular.

The straws are soft. One of my sons is a biter and he messed up the top of one straw. It's still usable but I haven't seen any straw refills.

We got them at BRU and Stop n Shop.

we've used the nuby and munchkin. i hated the nuby ones because i could never get the straw back in when i took it out, then i ended up breaking it. i like the munchkin ones because the top piece comes off and you can easily assemble it.

The ones that always worked the best for us (= least leaking) were the cheap take-n-toss ones. We use those ones almost exclusively. They also only have 3 simple parts (straw, lid, cup) so the parts don't get lost.
