What kind of pain is this?

In the last few weeks, I've found that if I'm rushing around, or even just walking quickly, I get a "stitch" on the right side of my belly, very low down.

It feels like a contraction, but is it a BH contraction? I've always read they shouldn't be painful, but these ARE painful, and I usually have to lean over and breathe slowly until it goes away.

(I never had BH with my singleton, so forgive me if I sound totally ignorant...)

Or, is this a round ligament pain? Aren't those supposed to be lower down, more in the vaginal area? Or am I mistaken?

This has happened maybe 4 or 5 times now, never more than once at a time. And if I stop moving, it goes away in a few minutes...

I am not sure if it is contractions, and I too didn't have BH with my daughter.

It can be round ligament pain though. It is way down low, very painful, and goes ways. I get them just flipping sides in bed. It is usually one side or the other. I am guessing that what you are feeling is that. RLP can effect your legs, and lower abdomen. If in question, call your doc just to be sure!!

Sounds like round ligament pain to me. Your body is just adjusting to that growing belly of yours.

 

Most likely round ligament pain.....I have it quite often as well, it almost feels like a pulled muscle (its the only thing I can compare it too)

I comes and goes, nothing to be worried about.

I would say round ligament more so than contractions. I got that a lot around 21 weeks that's when I stopped working because I couldn't be on my feet very long. BH you usually feel on the top or side of your uterus and it is more like a tightening (it will feel hard)than painful.
