What kind of bottles do you use?

I've been nursing my girls and then supplementing with a bit of formula or EBM after each feeding. So far, I've mostly used Dr. Brown's bottles because they are said to have the most comparable flow to breastfeeding. Supposedly, the system they use helps prevent colic, gas, and ear infections. I don't have much to compare them to, but do you find that these bottles really do prevent that stuff more than other bottles? I just hate having to clean the inner parts all the time! But I'll continue to use these if they really are the 'best.' Just wondering what your opinions are. Is there a comparable bottle that doesn't take so long to clean?

    Thanks!

We use playtex drop ins. They are great. Dishwasher safe (except the nipple) so easy to clean and the babes can suck the milk out even if it is straight up because they suck all the air out of it. Plus the hols and hollow bottom made it so they held them really early.

    Highly recommend it.

Just to add to my pp. We never had ear infections of anything like that and mine were easy to burp - no pains or anything.

Like pp I have used playtex dropins with the "NaturaLatch" nipples when I've returned to work with my other children. They never had any nipple confusion issues with these, or did they have spit-up/gas problems. Cleanup is great b/c all you really have to wash is the nipple.

We found the best luck with the cheapest bottles. Evenflo and Parent's Choice. I really disliked Dr. Browns because they leaked as well as Avent. Good luck!

I use the Playtex drop-ins. I love them AND you can get the cheaper(by $2.00)Target brand of liners that are just as good.

We've used Dr. Browns since they girls were a few weeks old and we had a lot of problems with spit up. I don't know if they've done any good, as we had to switch to Enfamil AR for severe spit up at about 2 months. I kwym about washing the parts, it's a pain. Now I put them in dishwasher baskets (all except the nipples--I still wash those by hand) and it's not so much work.

For Noah we use the Dr. Browns and for Jacob he prefers the Playtex Ventaire......neither one of them has ever had an ear infection.
