Hi. Not sure how old your children are...I skipped the highchair because we are not long on space and went straight to booster seats. We've been using the Fisher Price ones. (see here) They work well and I even pack them in our suitcase and travel with them. The height of the seat is adjustable. On an every day basis I have them set at the highest level, so I have to bend the least!

    Hope this Helps...

To save space, we have used boosters from the beginning. We have the Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wood Booster and I love it!!

my boys are 20 months. we switched them too about the same age as yours. we use the cooshie booster. mainly because they will slide under the table and they are easy to take with you and clean up. when we started with them, we kept their high chairs out. if they tried to get out of their boosters then they got a warning and if they still tried to climb out then they got to sit in their high chair. we only had to put them in their high chairs once and after a few days we put them up. they are great. we bought them from babies r us. you can get them at alot of places. just search for cooshie booster. good luck!

We never used boosters at home. We just took the trays off the highchairs and pushed them up to the table. I used the boosters at Grandmom's, restaurants, etc.

taking the trays off and eating at the big table helped us buy more time in the HCs too.

We got the Euro 2's from one step ahead a couple of months ago. both the girls and myself really like them, and they like being at the table. The only drawback is the harness part is a little wonky..

Stokke high chairs (from 6 months or so) and I have the FP Booster ones for travelling / parents / outside / friends, etc. Couldn't live without any of them!

We also used the cooshie boosters and love them. My girls still use them sometimes when they want to be higher up in their chairs or if they are doing crafts at the table so they can be more comfortable. My son uses one too and has since about 14 or 15mths old. We love them and we have also used them at the movies so the seats don't close up on the girls and they are higher up.

We moved to the FP Healthy Care Booster seat at first and then around 2 1/2 we switched to the Cooshie Booster. These seats are awesome and so easy to wipe down after each meal. BUT, there are no belts, so if that is an important feature to you, you may want to wait.

We had the First Years boosters, never had high chairs. I think around 24 months maybe we did away with the trays and pushed them right up to the table. Then maybe 3-4 months ago, we took the chairs off and they just sit on the regular chairs, no booster.

We have those as well. I like them but they are a PAIN to clean. I'm going to check into those Cooshie Boosters.
