Hello, We are just about going to get into the feeding stages...and was wondering what kind of highchair do you have, use, or even like? Is it necessary to get 2 of them? My girls both eat at the same time currently...most of the time in their bouncy chairs. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    thanks

We used their bouncy seats up until 6 months. We have the [topic="http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265794&cp=&sr=1&f=Taxonomy%2FTRUS%2F2255957&origkw=eddie+bauer+booster&kw=eddie+bauer+booster&parentPage=search"]Eddie Bauer 2 Level Wood Booster[/topic] which doesn't recline so we had to wait until they had pretty good back control to use it. I absolutely love this seat though. It fits right on a regular dining room chair.

i have a peg perego from 2000 that I don't really love anymore, but couldn't justify buying *two* new high chairs. :p

So our second high chair is nothing frilly, but beats the pants off the older model Peg Perego. I really like it:

It's the Fisher Price Healthy Care High Chair (it's only $79.00 at Target)

we have 2 baby trend high chairs...they are great...nothing fancy, but they get the job done. They fit right up to our breakfast table.

we have the Peg Perego Primma Papa Diners - and love them. It has a five-point restraint (I've take the shoulder straps off - mine are 14 months) - they have wheels so you can easily move them from kitchen to dining room. Easy to clean. Worth the money! I have the pink one which is adorable for my twin girlies.

    Good luck!

We got the Evenflow highchairs at Walmart for $50.00 each. I had a hard time deciding because I didn’t want to take up too much space with two and the boosters that fit on the adult chairs looked great. However, if you have company over and the boosters are using two of your dinning chairs you can run into a problem. I also have the twins in their highchairs a lot while I’m cooking. Then we can all be together in the kitchen and they can play with toys on their trays. I feed at the same time, one spoonful to one then one to the other. I can’t imagine life with only one chair. That’s why we went with the no frills brand.

We never bothered with high chairs, they take up too much room. We have 2 booster seats that we have always used. We have the Safety First ones and they are great. Easy to clean and we can take them to someone's house. Never used a regular high chair for our oldest DD either. We used the bouncy seats to feed them until they were around 8 months.

We have Chicco Polly highchairs in Woodstock pattern (all their patterns are great). We really love these highchairs! Every feature you could want for a reasonable price. I ordered them online at www.albeebaby.com

We had the Fisher Price space savers prior to these and I returned them. I didn't like them at all!

We have the Fisher Price Booster Chairs that attach to your chairs. They are great! We don't have a lot of room so these are great for us. I am glad that we have two because I can feed them both at once. If I only had one then I really would feel like I was feeding the ALL the time.

We have the First Years Feeding Seats at our house. These strap on to our kitchen chairs and work great. At my father's house I have two Baby Trend high chairs which are nice but I actually prefer the First Years Seats!

With my first daughter, we went to an 'unfinished wood' store, and bought a wooden highchair. we put tounge oil (sp?) on it- builds up a lot of coats without making it super shiny. i am not a fan of the plastic highchairs, so we went with wood, but also because the all wooden ones seem to have the least amount of nooks and crannies that the food hides in. every so often, i take it outside and hose it off with a hard scrub brush, and then let it air/sun dry. When the twins came along, my husband made another highchair, modeling it after the one that we bought, only he used a harder wood (my first daughter left indentations all over the top of the tray from banging her fork and spoon).
A hint for non-reclining highchairs- we wrapped a tea towel (After strapping them in) around their waists to help keep them from leaning to one side or the other. Plus, a big bath towel shoved around them under the tray works well too, and helps to catch the drips.

We have the Eddie Bauer wooden high chairs. We love them. Honestly, when I picked them out I was thinking about them matching my kitchen  but the kids love to sit in them. And they do look great in my kitchen!! ;)

We also have 2 of the Fisher Price Booster Chairs. I am very happy with them because they attach to the chairs and they don't take up extra room.

Whatever you decide on . . . you definitely need 2!

    Good luck making your decision.

We got the Fisher-Price Spacesaver Highchairs and we love them. They lay back for the girls to drink bottles, sit up with trays for eating and then turn into booster seats when the girls get older. I love that I can move them all around the house if need be because they are small and light. They are also easily transported for weekend visits to grandma's house. They fit in the closet when we have company over. They are also affordable. We got ours from Target. I highly recommend them.

We have the Chicco high chairs and LOVEEE them!!! We tried the Graco ones with the cloth seats and they were a pain to have to wash all the time. The Chicco folds up small and has actually three trays for each. We have two as I feed them both at the same time. I also like the chairs as they can use them when they can sit at the table, too, when they get older and we won't need a booster seat. Also, there are two pads on the chair and you can have one off cleaning it while having the other one on. AND...the seat reclines which is great as I have one twin that falls asleep while eating and I just lean her back while I finish feeding the other one. We looked and looked and reviewed high chair after high chair. After reading reviews and talking to the manager at Babies R Us...we decided on the Chicco as the manager says she has hardly no returns on the chair and someone had a very small problem with her chair and they (Chicco) sent her a brand new one without returning the other one.

    Good luck!

I bought the Chicco Polly highchairs after doing a lot of research and going on recommendations from a lot of people on this website.....I did not want feeding seats that attached to the dining room chairs....I do have 2 of those, but we only use them when we travel.....I absolutely LOVE my highchairs....they are awesome...I store them in my breakfast room and roll them in and out of the dining room when needed....they are comfortable....the seats are vinyl so they are easily wiped down....they recline, so my girls can recline a little when they have their bottles and then sit up straight when they eat their solids.....you can put on and take off the tray easily with one hand....i could go on and on....
