What is this?

On my whole right side I feel bruised--except worse. Right now I am in constant pain. The only relief I can get is to lean to my left a little bit--and that doesn't provide much relief. The baby has been moving, just not as much today as normal. I'm not having any weird symptoms or anything (just this strange pain)--I'm not even having any BH. I've only really had a couple BH total this pregnancy (at least that I've felt) with the exception of last weekend--I almost ended up in L&D. ;) Anyway, is this a normal pain? I feel like I should know but I've never had this happen before. I don't want to call the doctor if this is "normal." I hate that I always have these weird things happen on the weekend when I would have to go to L&D instead of the office. :( Thanks for any insight.

I am on my 7th pregnancy and I have never heard of such a thing.....I would call L&D and see what they say.

I agree, at least call and ask. Is it front vs back (like kidneys vs appendix) type all over pain? Any fever? Definitely at least ask!

I would definitely call and ask too. I had a bunch of pain when I had my gall stones during pregnancy...but that can be right sided also. I hope you feel better soon!

I am thinking gallbladder. Try to eat low fat and see if that helps. Hope you are doing better soon.

Thanks for all your replies. I laid down last night and started feeling a little better. Today I hurt quite a bit still but I'm waiting it out. Hopefully in the morning I will be okay--otherwise I know I will be in the office ASAP. The baby's movements have slowed down quite a bit though and that has me worried. I'm drinking some caffeine to see if that will wake her up. ;)

Ronda, please let us know if you call the dr. I hope you feel better soon. I think it's the less amount of movement that would concern me the most. Take care of yourself.
