It's time for Name That Pain. If I eat too much (which isn't a lot but I guess I don't have a lot of room) I get a burning type pain at the top right hand side of my tummy. The "spot" is about the size of a key lime. Does anyone know what this could be and what I can do about it?

    Hi Marbear,

Sorry I don't know about this one. Is it like heartburn? I get that in the back of my throat, though. Do Tums or Tylenol affect it?

Out of curiosity, how do you deal with eating? I don't feel like I have much room left either, and I never remember to "graze."

Best of luck with everything and keep us updated!

Debby- I just drink a lot of lowfat milk. It has protein and makes me feel full without seeming to give me the burning sensation I described.I am going through about 4 gallons a week now but my son is sharing some with me and I use it in cooking, too.

I don't think it is heartburn, but I could definitely be wrong. I have tons of acid refluxing in my throat and it doesn't seem to happen simultaneously with the burning pain on my side. I have a feeling our bodies are going to crop up with a ton of these mystery pains before it is all said and done. [IMG]

My first thought is your gallbladder. Pregnancy can cause stones in some people and even if you dont have your gallbladder you can be one of the rare people like me who still produce stones. I would suggest you talk to your doctor...he may want to do an ultrasound to verify if it is your gallbladder or something else

I am not sure what it could be - I have all kinds of mystery pains also!! and some have stayed with me throughout this pregnancy and some come and go!! if it persists I would just ask your OB - but mine
    usually blows things off??

I was thinking your gallbladder as well.. I think it's fairly common to have gallbladder issues when you're pregnant. I'd ask the doctor about it.

does the pain radiate through to your back at all? if so I would definately say gallbladder...if not I would still ask if it could be your gallbladder.
