What is this cone belly?

I had my boys via csection a little over a month ago. I'm left with this sad looking "cone belly" for lack of a better term. After I had my daughter, my stomach was definitely more doughy, but this is something different entirely. I have this weird belly that sticks up higher around my belly button and even when I suck my stomach in it's still there. I don't know if it's fat or skin or my intestines sticking out through what used to be my ab muscles or what. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Is there anything I can do about it? It looks terrible through my clothes and everything!

I have that same problem. I think the book "Lose your Mummy Tummy" might give you some good ideas as how to flatten that area.

Yeah I have to agree with the hernia...I have one that came back after I had the twins (also c-section) so my guess is with the stomach muscles weakened and carrying two babies it could cause some issues. I even had mine repaired 3 years ago [IMG] It's not my uterus because my girls are 10 months old and I still have the same thing you are describing right where my hernia is. I would have it checked out..you haven't had your 6 week check up yet right?

thanks for your advice. i actually had a double hernia surgery as a child so it's very possible that it has recurred. i hadn't even thought of that. thanks! i'll def bring it up at my 6 week appt.
