I am in the process of transitioning the babies from soy to milk based formula. My daughter is on a laxative, so her stools are always loose.

But my son has always had pretty solid poops. Not hard, but they are pasty and stick to his butt. Now that I'm doing milk-based formula, they are definitely more runny. More of the poop is in the his diaper than on his butt. This started yesterday on day 4 of milk formula. Could it be a reaction and I should stop? Or is this normal stools for babies on milk-based formula? Any idea?

    thanks!

my twin that has been on milk based formula has hard poops. They usually aren't runny unless shes cutting teeth.

Wow! For as long as my girls have been on formula their poop has been kinda loose. I guess maybe it just depends on the baby. Maybe other opinions will help.

My guys have always had loose/runny poop, and were on a milk-based formula. They still do have runny poo, I was expecting terds by now, LOL

My twins are both having the same formula. One has green pretty soft stools, the other one more yellow / brown (sorry TMI) and definitely firmer ... so I guess every baby is different!

My twins have been on milk based formula since birth. They go thru stages of different stools. Right now my DS is more runny and a greenish tinge and my DD is firmer and a yellowish/green color.

If James drinks formula his stools are kind of tan and look like they have flecks of spinach in them, as opposed to when he is bf they look like chocolate pudding then. Sean's look the same (seedy and loose) except they get more brown.
