I don't know if it's just the trauma of having twins or if it's the trauma of taking care of them, but I am in pain all the time! Lately it's my wrists...picking them up, putting them down, twisting them into different positions when I'm holding them, carrying the car seats, helping them turn over, moving the high chairs, holding up books, etc...all of this is making my right wrist hurt so bad!

Also, by the end of the day, my lower back and my ankles (probably from sitting on the floor all day)...what hurts you?

For about the first 6 months my knees and back hurt so bad! My knee pain stopped when I lost some weight and my back pain stopped when I got my stomach muscles back in shape.

My knees were terrible, but they are slowly getting better. At one point, I could bareley get up from a low couch and I could not get off of the floor. Now my lower back is really bothering me. Not sure if its my body adjusting back, lifting the babies, or both.

I know that my wrists hurt a lot while I was pregnant w/ the twins and for a while after. I've heard of carpal tunnel being a side effect of pregnancy! LOL @ side effect! :D

I continued to wear my wrist braces while I slept for the first few months after the twins. All the weird angles of trying to hold them, pump etc. It finally settled down.

My worst pain was the middle of my back, between my shoulder blades from all the holding, pacing, bouncing of colicy twins.

Interesting…. My wrists hurt at night when I roll over in my sleep… like they need to “warm up” … it started w/ my left and now it’s both… they don’t hurt during the day… my back hurt too @ night after they were born… then when I got my stomach muscles back w/ running (I lost the weight by 6 weeks I needed to get the muscle back) it stopped hurting… if I got more than 4 hrs sleep my back hurt…

    hmmmm

My wrist hurt for sure. I ended up going to the orthopedics office and getting a cortisone shot in my wrist. Its a type of wrist tendonitis that often strikes NEW MOMs especially brestfeeding ones because off overuse..

I still have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome as well. 6.5 months later. I am not sure it will go away.

About a month and a half ago, my wrist started hurting at night when I was sleeping. Its like it pops out of place or something. Here lately my lower back is starting to hurt all the time. I feel old! :D

There is a tendonitis of the wrist that is called "Mommy Thumb". Seriously. Do a google search and you'll be amazed about how much info there is on it. I had it until the girls were 5 months old and then it suddenly went away. It was really horrible for a while though.
