Ok, I want to know how your all manage to get through the day and yes, I know your all going to say...'you just do', but I mean is it coffee ?? my bad habit is having a cola in the afternoon. I have also been eating like pig since having the girls and using the breast pumping as an excuse. Well now I have stopped pumping and its time to loose the extra weight but I just dont have the energy to excercise at the moment. When do you find the time to excercise ? I walk most evenings but I think I need to do more...I feel fat, frumpy and unattractive.

Not coffee but those giant bottles of diet coke plus some chocolate!

I feel fat and frumpy too. I dont have time to exercise unless it is getting out to power walk in the evenings in my neighborhood but its so dang hot here right now I cant make myself get out there and then I know Im gonna sweat because its so hot and then I will need to take a shower which takes even more time that I dont have! Am I full of excuses or what? :bubble: I know I need to and it would make me feel better. I just hit the 6wk pp mark so Im allowed to exercise now. Im nursing and the weight is coming off steadily (slow but steady) so I kinda think "why bother" right now anyway.

I do drink 2 cups of coffee in the morn & no caffeine after that for me or I wont be able to sleep well (not that Im sleeping much anyway but still) I really look forward to DS's naptime too and I also swaddle my twins for their nap every afternoon and I get my "me" time which is what Im doing right now

Coffee is what definitely got me through the first few months - I would drink a large mug (about the size of 3 regular coffees) every morning just to stay alert. I have cut out the coffee now and only occasionally have a regular sized cup now and then. I also have been eating a lot more since they were born and I stopped pumping when they were about 3 months old so I have NO excuse!! I feel pretty gross too momma so you're definitely not alone! And it is even less "acceptable" for me to still be carrying around the baby weight because the babies are almost 10 months old. Ugh. It is hard to find the time and energy to stick to an exercise routine. I am starting slow - I walk regularly with the girls (although this heat has also kept me inside lately) and I am trying to build up to running with the stroller. My plan is to alternate running with walking (I downloaded a great app for my iPhone called "Get Running" that will hopefully help me get up to running 5K in two months) and slowly build up my endurance. I don't really have time to run on my own so I will be pushing about 40lbs of baby (plus the weight of the stroller) but I figure that it can only increase my workout! I also signed up for a 5K run in September which will hopefully motivate me to stay on track.

You might also want to look into getting some exercise videos to do at home - you could try doing just half of one while they nap and then see how it goes. You may surprise yourself and want to finish it once you get started! And don't underestimate the benefits of walking. That is a great place to start. You could even add some lunges, squats, etc. while walking for a little extra boost. I think the hardest part is getting out of the house - once I'm outside I usually find I have more energy than I thought and I never regret going for a walk. You can also check out the Weight Loss, Health and Fitness Forum for support, tips and recipes. Good luck to us all!!

I have an early riser, so I am up at 5-ish every morning - unfortunately. Coffee definitely is my savior. I drink two cups before anything else...
After I feed the boys in the morning, around 6, I put them in their exersaucer/walker/jumparoo and I start to excersice. I do Gilad, Total Body Sculpting. I usually tape it, this way I can fast forward the commercials and the whole routine takes about 20 minutes. I do this 6 days a week.
Also when I put the boys to bed at 6.30-7 pm I take the dog for a long (hour) walk, or I go for a short run.

I have one of those weighted body bars in the living room and do some reps (squats, curls, etc) whenever I get a chance. The bar takes up no room a all and weight training burns more calories than cardio. Not to say that I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight! 8 months and still some lbs to go. The worst part is pumping and being hungry all the time, with no energy to shop or prepare healthy foods.
