My DD has been on a generic soy and I'm finally thinking I need to invest the extra cash in something else...the spit up is getting out of hand. I think I want to get a can of something to try...any recommendations?

We had to go with a combination of Prevacid and Nutramigen for DS. He was a different baby after that!

We did Prevacid and Alimentum. Lots of babies with reflux also have a milk protein intolerance and soy as well. I would definitely try another formula. Your Ped might have some samples of the hypoallergenic stuff.

We're on prevacid and Nestle Good Start (which is very comparible to Enfamil Gentlease)... it's been a lot better on this combo. We tried Nutramigen and he didn't like it very much (nor did we need it).

    GL!!

We first tried Alimentum for the reflux but our boys HATED that formula and wouldn't drink it. Then we tried Enfamil AR but it caused horrible constipation. I couldn't take seeing my babies scream and cry trying to poop. So then we switched them to Enfamil Premium and thickened it with a gel thickener, which helped a lot with the spit up and didn't cause constipation problems. A few weeks ago I switched from Enfamil Premium to the Target formula with prebiotics, which is just a generic version of Enfamil Premium. And both boys tolerate the Target brand just as well as Enfamil, but it costs about half as much. Brandon has also been on Prevacid solutabs which also helped a lot.

We use Prevacid and Enfamil Gentlease. There is still a lot of spit up no matter what we do (including adding rice cereal), but not any discomfort or adverse reactions.

Alimentum and no meds. Works great for him.

That's us. My DD is sensitive to lactose along with her reflux so we ended up on Prevacid and Alimentum, and she is in much better shape. We tried every level of formula up to Alimentum and this is the only one that doesn't make her cry. She no longer screams when she poops either. She only spits up occassionally now instead of every day.

Our refluxer was on Alimentum plus zantac. She's still on the zantac but we were just recently able to move her to Similac Sensitive, like her sister. They'll be 6 months old next week.
