Someone please tell me that they have foods they love that they can't eat!!!

I LOVE milk. I could drink only milk all day everyday and not get sick of it. But this baby seems to HATE it. I can barely get some for DS without gagging. I miss milk!!! :cray: lol

Then there are salads. I got sick a couple times after have a couple salads but I was hoping it was just a fluke. NOPE! I had another salad this evening and yep you guessed it, it'll all came right back up! ARGH!!

During my other pregnancies I always had to make sure I had a food to snack on in the middle of the night. Generally it has been nutrigrain bars or pop-tarts. Well, I got both to store in my bedroom for night time. Both make me sick!!

Why do pregnancies have to be so hard??!?!

With DS it was hard but not this hard-the only food I couldn't eat was anything with tomatoes and that only really lasted during the first month or so. I hope I can start eating/drinking my favorite stuff again very soon. The girls I could eat anything and it didn't matter-it was all going to come up anyway. I was sick as could be with them and no medicine that my OB gave me helped.

I miss food!!! I miss having an appetite--I guess I do have a little appetite but once I start thinking about how the food is going to be coming back up I lose all will/want to eat.

Thanks for letting me vent! It doesn't make my stomach any better but at least I got a little of my frustration/stress out. lol

I can eat anything, but forgive me when I say I'd love a glass of wine! Don't get me wrong, I've had some before I got preg. this time, but I miss it. I know some may say that a glass of wine is fine when you are pregnant, but I don't believe that!

I hear ya Ronda. I miss food period!! I cant get past the smells of alot of things to even get them down. I will cook dinner and be puking in the bathroom while making it and as my family eats it. I miss almost everything because nothing smells good so Ihave a hard time just eating. If I do fins something that tastes good after I am done eating I am back to feeling sick and add it to the list of foods I wont be eating again for who knows how long. They say we are supposed to be starting to feel good here in the next couple of weeks, I guess we will see. I am right there with ya hun, hope it gets better for you too!!

That's so funny that you mentioned salad. With the twins, I couldn't eat it b/c it always cme right back up. With this baby, I have no problems.

I don't crave sweets when I am pregnant. All desserts, chocolate, etc. just doesn't appeal to me. So I guess I miss my sweets.

I haven't had any problems this pregnancy at all (not with the twins either), but I really miss sushi.

And there have been a couple of times when a shot of tequilla would have helped me thru the day (starting the 2's in our house)... ok, just kidding on that one...

I miss being able to take something for a headache, lol. There really isn't anything I can't eat now, but for a while, any dinner, that included chicken, made me turn green. I am still not super cool with chicken, but better with it anyway.

I miss peanut butter. My allergist won't let me have any nuts during pregnancy/nursing because she feels it really helps lessen the chance of my kids getting the nut allergy (I have a ton of allergies and even though I'm fine with nuts, she doesn't want to take a chance). On that note, I also miss Allegra because I have gotten quite a few sinus headaches and just have to deal...

    Wine, scotch and sushi!!!
DH will drink a glass of something or other every night and it drives me wild sometimes. And then I'm thinking afer the baby arrives I will be dfing so alcohol is out then too.
:( So by my calculations I can enjoy a glass of wine again sometime around Oct. 2008!

For months all I wanted was a huge hoagie and a glass of coke with some potato chips....well, I indulged in the last two, but haven't had lunchmeat in forever!!

    I WANT EGG NOG!!!!!!!

Oh man, I didn't even think of that... I wanted to start looking for it in the store next time I go...

I did just do a little googling and found this...

    -------------------------
Commercially manufactured eggnog is made with pasteurized eggs and has not been linked with salmonella infections, says the CDC. Still, it pays to play it safe: Stay away from anything containing raw eggs (that includes refraining from dipping your fingers into the holiday cookie batter!).

As an alternative to egg nog, you might consider "soy nog," which does not contain eggs or any other dairy products. It's also lower in calories and fat than traditional egg nog. You can find it during the winter holidays in most large grocery stores as well as specialty health food stores.
