Hi, I'm just finishing up on the last things on my to do list..before I settle down for smooth sailing right on in the delivery room. As you can see...I tell everyone that I have 3-5 wks. left. Because it is the 37th wk. that I'm shooting for. (Give or take) But in between 36-38 wks. Well I have the nursery ready, clothes from newborn to 1yr..the swings, bouncers, infant soft carriers, car seats, play yards, moses baskets, you name it! I even purchased a double stroller but it was the Eddie Bauer double stroller and then I found out that my graco carseats were not compatable with this stroller (I bought it for only $30 bucks at a yard sale in good condition-she wanted $40 but I talked her down) I told that to say I will be keeping that one because its durable for outings like the park or rocky surfaces. So I was in the market for a good Graco double stroller to be compatable with the carseats. I chose the Graco Quatro Tour-althogh I think that it may be heavier than the Duo Glider. There was a lady on Craigslist that only used it 3 times who sold it to me for $100.00. I've been pricing them and at Babies R Us that same stroller was $279.99 without tax. What did you buy or is considering buying and why? Do you know the pros and cons of Graco duo Glider vs Graco Quattro Tour. I know that the tour costs about a hundred bucks more than the duo glider but I don't really know why.

I have the duo glider and I'm not very happy with the back seat. It is just cardboard and my boys are wearing it down. I am in the market for sbs, but really do LOVE the tandem. It is big and lot light, but as your babies grow, so will your arm muscles! :) I think the Quattro is the better of the two strollers and you got a great deal! Enjoy!

Yeah the Maclaren is like the "Mercedes" of strollers..Now I've seen the side by side Maclaren-do they make the front to back Maclaren? And are they compatable with infant carriers? If so what brand of infant carriers?

I have the Graco duoglider and I have been very happy with it. I still use it once in awhile even now at age 3. I needed something that would fit through the doors of my oldest DD's school, and a SBS would not have. We even took it to Disney with us for a week when they were 10 months old and they even slept in it just find during the day. It's very easy to fold/unfold as well. Mine is still in really good shape too. :good:

I have the Baby Trend Snap and Go double stroller frame. I love it! It is very easy to use, and not as big and bulky and expensive as alot of strollers out there are.. The only downfall to it is you have to buy a new stroller once they are out of their infant seats.
But it's all about personal preference.. It took me forever to decide what I wanted to do for a stroller!

I am not sure if Maclaren makes a front to back stroller.... I haven't seen one. I opted for the side by side, so that we wouldn't have any arguing over who gets to sit in front (eventually) and they could both see the world and interact with each other. It got rave reviews from a twin group in the bay area, easy to manuever and light weight. Good luck on your search!

I have the Graco duoglider, which works well for the mall/shopping/paved surfaces, but is very difficult to push on any other surface. I also have a a side-by-side Schwinn with 16" wheels, which I use for jogging and festivals or anywhere that I'm going over a mile. The side-by-side is difficult to fit through some doorways, but it is twice as easy to push as the mall-walker. I found a great deal off Craig's list and got it from someone who had never really used it either.

We have a Valco Twin http://valcobaby.com/products/strollers.ht...ductcatalog_pi1[uid]=4 That link is for the newest version - ours is a few years old, but I LOVE it. It fits thru normal doorways and people were amazed at the places I could go with it! I never did have two infants in it, but I had a toddler/infant (and now will be using it for two infants) You can buy car seat adaptors for them now too in order to snap your infant seat in.

I love this stroller - but I know mine is a bit on the heavy/bulky side, so you do need some space for it to be brought along in the vehicle.

We also got the Double Snap N Go for the infant seat time period and we got a Maclaren SBS for after. Maclaren does not make a tandem stroller and the only stroller they have that can accomodate an infant car seat is a single stroller (I think it's the Triumph XL). We use our strollers for short walks around the neighborhood, down to the park, to the mall...so a larger, bulkier stroller is unnecessary.

With DS we had a (single) Chicco Cortina...I liked it but it was just way too much stroller for what we were using it for...so we got a Maclaren Volo (single) and I fell in love with it...so much that it was a NO BRAINER to get the twin Maclaren this time around!

I loved my Quatro Tour. I just thought it was a better stroller all around than the DuoGlider. I don't use it as much now that they are older and we have a SBS, but it is still the best for trips to the store, etc. (when being SBS is apparently too much for my kids - DS likes to encroach on DD's space - can't believe we are dealing with this already!) Anyway, I had no complaints. It is very easy to fold and unfold - one hand. It is big and heavy, but it's a double stroller! The infant seats lock in easily, etc.

ETA: There is no SBS stroller that can hold 2 carseats - or I missed it in the hours and hours of stroller research I did. I know a lot of people love the snap and go, but wanted to throw out there that there are definite reasons to have a tandem even as they get older - the fighting I mentioned about, narrow store aisles, etc. When we bought our SBS, I loved it, but we have found that the babies won't behave in it at all in stores. Zoo is great, walks are great, etc., but not stores.
