What does this mean?

I'm 35w4d with twin girls--most likely fraternal. I'm 1.5cm dilated and 60% effaced. We had an ultrasound today and the girls look good. They weigh 5lbs14oz and 5lbs8oz! I'm happy about that. The doctor said she'd see me next Tuesday "if you're still pregnant". How would you interpret that?

 

I would take that to mean your doctor thinks there is a good chance you will deliver within the week. I hope you have a great week and all goes smoothly!!

 

My OB said that to me around this time. I was not dilated or effaced though, but we were getting close. Your girls are also bigger than my twins so it could be any time. She was probably just cluing you in that you could have the babies before Tuesday. :woohoo:. GL.

That's what I was thinking! This from the doctor who thought I'd make it to 38 weeks, no problem. I'm so happy they're big girls!

When my doctor let me off bedrest at 34 weeks she told me not to make any more appointments! At that time she had been seeing me 2x a week.
Well it was quite fun for her receptionitist when she saw me for 6 more appointments before inducing me LOL
I was dilated 5, and 100% effaced on induction day. My doctor never saw that coming! I held out a month longer than she thought, and the only reason she agreed to induce at 37weeks is because she honestly thought Id go before then

I think she means you could go into labour anytime soon. So be prepared. Do have a wonderful birth experience
