Every night we put our babies in cotton footed pajamas, but a lot of times when they wake up, there hands and feet feel a little cold. We no longer swaddle them and was just wondering what we should get them for fall and winter??

For the colder months I put my boys in fleece or heavier PJ's

When it was colder I used fleece footed pajamas. If their feet are still getting cold, you can put socks on underneath them.

We've always put them in a onesie and socks and covered them w/ a light receiving blanket which they kick off after an hour. Now that it's getting cooler at night (yay for fall!) we're going to try using the fleece sleep sacks they got at the baby shower, along w/ a long-sleeved onesie to keep their arms warm.

We've always used the cotton footie jammies or fleece footie jammies. We've also used the fleece sacks and in the spring when it was warm we put them in gowns.

Is the back of their neck or faces cold? Babies feet and hands are generally colder than the rest of their bodies so it just may feel cold to you.

We use cotton footed pajamas for most of the year. In the winter we will use fleece footed pjs. We may add socks and a onesie underneath for added warmth.

No just their hand and feet.

Ours sleep in cotton footie pj's or cotton pj's with socks. (DS is rapidly approaching the too-big-for-baby-pjs size) .. then they sleep with knitted crochet blankies. :)

we use onesies and fleece sleep sacks year round. now that it is FINALLY starting to get cooler, i will get some longsleeved onesies to keep their arms warm. i've gotta say i love sleepsacks, they are always warm and toasty in the morning when i take them off.

I use footed PJ's and sleep sacks. We do have a few pairs of PJ's w/o feet, so I put socks on them!

Thank you for posting this question. I always think that I put too much on them because my feet are always cold!

We used cotton footed pj's w/swaddles until they turned into escape artists! Then, we went with fleece sleepsacks instead of blankets or instead of letting them stay in bed with their unswaddled blanket... to help reduce risk of SIDS.

Once we stopped swaddling, we switched them to sleep sacks. We have long-sleeved fleece ones for winter, or sleeveless cotton ones (that they wear over long-sleeved cotton PJs) for the other 10 months of the year. ;) (We don't have much of a winter here in SC. ;))

Our girls sleep in cotton footed pjs and a fleece sleep sack. We used it all summer because I kept the room cool at night with the air conditioning. They slept better. Now it is getting in the 30s at night so the fleece sleep sacks are so nice and I use them for naps too. They really have associated them with sleeping and it is hard for them to fall asleep without being inside those sacks. I gave in - they always pull blankets over their heads.
