What do your 8 month olds eat?

I'm starting to give my babies chunkier baby food and am wondering what all of your 8 month olds are eating? Are they on table foods yet? What about snacks? Mine act like they're choking and gagging if its not pureed, but they do fine with the fruit puffs.

Mine are 4 days shy of 8 months, so close in age to your kiddos. My totally gag if it not pureed. I am trying a little chunkier foods but like yours they gag. I've decided to just keep trying some chunkier from time to time to get them used to it.

I haven't tried any finger foods. No snacks either. How many ounces of formula are yours getting? Mine are around 24 ounces, give or take a few depending on the day.

Mine usually get 5 6oz bottles a day for a total of 30 oz. DD doesn't finish all of her bottles, but DS gets every last drop. I'm hoping that when they start eating more food, I'll be able to drop a bottle to bring them to 24oz. I blended up some pasta & sausage for them today and they loved it and did great with the chunks, so maybe their starting to get used to thicker foods...

 

mine won't eat chunks either. they gag when i put it it their mouths. the only thing i have gotten them to eat is blended up home made chicken soup.

 

My boys love whatever I give them. I gave them little pieces of turkey slices today and they were begging for more. THey eat the chunky baby food, but cringe because of the taste. I would too!!!

 

Mine are still eating just the Stage 2 foods.
They do snack on puffs but are still mastering getting them in their mouths themselves - I usually help a bit
My daughter usually drinks about 24 oz a day but my son drinks less - I offer them the same amount but he just isn't into his bottle much lately.

 

We are still on the stage 2 jars of food as well. Plus cereal and bottles. They get about 28 oz each a day ( 4 x 7 oz each). I am thinking of starting on some teething cookies of some sort in the very near future.
