Now that the boys are eating some finger food and hitting the spoon in mid air the highchairs are getting gross . I am using the Clorox Daily Sanitizing Cleaner but it just doesnt seem to be cutting it. Anyone got any tricks of the trade they are willing to share?

    Thanks,
    Rachel

Me too! I always stuck the trays in the sink and took a wet washcloth with a little Clorox and wiped down the rest of the chair. When they get really gross, I take them outside and hose them down.

I use a wet cloth and then follow up with Clorox Anywhere cleaner. I LOVE that stuff!!!!!!!

Warm water with a little white vinegar and biodegradable, non-toxic dish soap. Works like a charm on all of my babies' plastic things and is completely non-toxic so I don't have to worry.

Our tray has a clear overlay that goes on top and can be removed and put in the dishwasher. The actual tray (that doesn't get much on it) gets washed with hot, soapy water and the chair gets sprayed and wiped down with the Clorox Anywhere cleaner. DH runs the vaccum in the cracks because he's anal.

Soap and water daily...outside with the pressure cleaner once each weekend.

I use soap and water. I disinfect the tray and seat once a day with an all-natural, chemical free disinfectant (link below). I used to use Clorox Anywhere before a friend told me about this product. It's more expensive, but I feel better about using something without chemicals on the surface they eat from.

I use a vinegar and water combination that I have put in a spray bottle. Other times I just use hot soapy water. I am tempted to do the hose thing with my DD in the highchair at times. She is one messy eater. :)

My girls just started using their high chairs this week, so I don't have that much experience... but I use hot soapy water and when things get messier the top part of the tray comes off and is dishwasher safe. I know a lot of people who take it outside and hose it down every once in awhile. -Leighann
