What do you use to bathe both at same time in tub?

Up until now we have been bathing the kids (separately) in the kitchen sink - it's big enough and has been easier - but now both babies are starting to figure out how to turn the water on and I think they would enjoy more space to bathe in. So, I think it's finally time we took the leap to do bath time in the tub, but I don't want to just sit them in there; I'm worried about them toppling over, etc.

I've seen these inflatable tubs before that you can just sit inside the regular adult tub and fill with water and the baby is cushioned on all sides. But I wonder how I would fit two of these in our bathtub... ???

How do you bathe your twins? Do you use any special bath seat or one of those inflatable tubs?

    Thanks for your help!

mine are about the same age and we have been bathing them together in the bath tube. i dont' use any seats or any inflatable tubs. at this age, I don't think you need them. we just only put about 2 inches of water in there so if they do fall over (which they never do) they would be safe. We did buy one of those thing to put over the faucet b/c they kept hitting their head on it.

When I switched to the big tub around 9 months or so, I didn't use any seat or inflatable tub, just put them in there. I would recommend getting a non-slip pad if you decide to go this route.

I got a transitional tub from One Step Ahead. I am on my own sometimes at night and I wanted to be able to bathe both of them together and not have to worry about someone falling over and banging their head. I love it and they are right up next to each other so they can play. There is not much wiggle room so it wont work for too long, but I am very happy that I have one.

Below are the seats we use. I had one already and I bought the other. That is why they are different.

    My boys in their seats.

We still use them. I do baths by myself and I could not control them if they were not in their seats. I tried it once and they wanted to stand.

Same here! And, DEFINITELY get the thing that covers the faucet...my DS just cut his eyelid open knocking into it...not pretty. He has a shiner now...But, they LOVE to bath together. You may want to get a skid free mat to put at the bottom of the tub if your actual tub does not have a rougher surface. Have fun!!

This is pretty much what we did...straight to the tub! We did buy one of those blow up ducks and it was really small in the duck that both of them couldn't sit in there comfortably, but if you want to give the duck a try, you can have mine. :) If you go to the tub definately get the non slip pad and faucet cover. Oh and toys!!!

We didn't use anything but an occasional towel for grip!

Once mine could sit up well I used two of THESE in the tub facing eachother. They loved it and they fit perfectly in the tub.

We have an inflatable ducky tub for trips (Munchkin brand) but it really only fit one baby after about 6 months.

    HTH :)

Thank you all so much for the helpful replies and pics of the seats some of you use (and cute pics of your kids!!). Both of my kiddos sit up well, it's just that a tub can be slippery, even with a mat, and I really worry about the "what ifs." Also, like some of you, I am alone at bath time and I would want something to contain one in while I took the other out.

I love the laundry basket idea!! LOL! I just might try that tonight - I have two rectangle baskets that would fit in there just right. I'm going to look into some of those seats, too.

While I'm asking bathtub questions - if you have a faucet cover you really like, can you tell me which one it is? I looked at some on Amazon.com and they got less than stellar reviews - I don't want to buy one that can come off too easily.

    Thanks again!

I tried the laundry basket after it was suggested here a few months ago. It did not work for me because they kept kicking eachother on accident right between the legs!

I did get a really cute picture of it though!
