What do you use after Huggies Overnight Size 5?

My kids have been having a lot of leaks with their Huggies overnight size 5 diapers. I don't think Huggies overnights come in size 6, so what should I do? My kids weigh 26 pounds and 30 pounds. Should I try the pull ons? If so, what brand do you recommend? Also, I've heard there is some pad you can buy to put in their diapers to help prevent leaks, but I can't seem to find them in the stores. Does anyone know what they are called? I can see if I can buy some on line.

    Thanks!

I had the same problem !!! I bought "diaper liners" which in California you can find at Vons, a grovery store, and I have heard that they can also be found at Babies r Us, though I've never seen them. They basically look like a maxi-pad without the sticky part. So what we did is we bought Huggies "Snug and Dry" size 6 and added the liner. We tried doing the same with the Pamper Cruisers but we still got leaks, so we use Cruisers in the day and Huggies at night. Really what I think helped the most is limiting fluids 2-3 hours before bedtime. It's actually a good practive for when we start potty -training.
    Good luck

I posted this same thing about a month ago and my problem has been solved!!! DIAPER DOUBLERS! It is a pad (like a maxi pad) that goes down the center of the diaper. We have had no leaks since using them and days prior to using them, one of my sons leaked every night. He is also 26 pounds. I bought the Diaper Doublers at BRU.

Are these washable ( :icon_eek: ) or disposable? DS is about to outgrow #5...

The diaper doublers are disposable. I think there are 30 in a pack for $2.99.

We also use Diaper Doublers - they cost 2.99 at Stop and Shop, but much more expensive online + shipping. At one point our Stop and Shop was out of them for almost 2 months! In desperation I bought incontinence pads, and they worked fine (inside a diaper, just like a diaper doubler). Before my mom came to visit I had her check her local Stop and Shop, and she cleared the shelves for me (brought me 7 packages!) Now that they are finally restocked at my store I buy them every time I see them - I have at least a 6 month supply in my basement, but I'm sure we'll be using diapers at night for a lot longer than that . . .

We had the same issue with the night time diapers. We couldn't find Diaper Doublers around here, so we switched to the night time Pull Ups. Work great!

Same problem here. I have been using Huggies Natural Fit Size 6 for DD at night and we don't usually have any leaks. Huggies is the only brand I like.

The best money spent was buying rubber pants to go over the diapers at night. My 18 month olds are still wearing them at night. and they weigh right at 30 pounds. They come in a pack of 6 at Walmart (maybe $5 or so) and are washable by machine or hand ( these are the ones made of vinyl with no cloth material like they had years ago). I told my friend about these for her 2 year old and she said they were a lifesaver (no changing anymore sheets at night!).

I have never seen Diaper Doublers (and I shop at Vons, so I will have to look).

Ben wears a size 6 during the day and leaks fairly regularly even during the day. He is very active and drinks a LOT of water. And he holds it for a long time so when he FINALLY goes, it is too much for the diaper to handle.

Ben is almost 40 pounds and so at night we have him in Good Nights. These are like pull-ups but are meant for older children that wet their beds. They have been a life saver. Now we only get a leaker maybe once a month, at the most. I don't know if that will help you, but maybe it will help those moms that have big babies like me!
