What do you have in your babies' cribs?

Hi everyone. What do you have in your babies' cribs? Up until last night I had them in their sleep sacks with sleep positioners and bumpers. I got rid of the bumpers (per pedi's recommendation) and sleep positioners. Now they have nothing in their crib. They are taking a nap now and I feel like they should have a blanket....I've only been putting the sleep sack on at night. Should they have it for naps? Poor things. I do have a mirror attached to the side of each crib and it has some things attached to it that they can play with until they fall asleep. I also have the fish aquariums at the foot of the cribs.

I only use the sleep sacks for bedtime. The only thing in each of their cribs is the bumper.

Mine have bumpers, lighted mobile/musical FP players, cloth dolls (1 each), and light fleece blankets (2 each).

In additon, Grace has a stuffed butterfly that hangs from the corner of her crib. And Lily has a paci always in her bed plus her fuzzy/silky lovey.

They sleep in fleece footed sleepers, plus I cover them with the blankets. And without the bumpers, they would have body parts hanging out of their crib all night long. Half the time they do even with the bumpers!

I always ask this question too. We have bumpers that I feel that we should remove cause they are too bulky but then the kids get their limbs caught/hit their head. We have wedges - my daughter still likes and my son tends to roll out of. I haven't tried sleep sacks (do you put them in those without another onsie on)? I feel that they need a blanket. We still have mobile on one crib and each have a little attachable einstein turtle thingy.

I have always used a blanket when they could no longer be swaddled with blankets because they got too big I used their comforters that came with the bedding. Now that they no longer get swaddled I just cover them up with the comforter. I used blankets on my older sons as well, but that is it other then the babies in the cribs. I don't even have a toy hanging on the side of the crib any longer.

    Nicole,

I use the Halo sleeveless fleece sleep sacks. They have a short sleeve onsie, thin footed PJs and then the sleepsack. We live in PA.

we have these bumpers that look likethis

I have a little zoo thing attached to each crib, its velcroed around the bars and its square, made of soft felt and has a mirror, a giraffe in the middle that when pressed plays music and lights go off, a monkey that is in a peek-a-boo pocket and when pulled out and actually pulled he vibrates back to normal. When its shaken, the whole thing, it rattles...I think there's a couple other things on it as well. 2 were given as a shower gift to me, so I dont know where they would be bought (Walmart, I assume)

They still have their mobiles up too...haha it says they're good to 5 months but since the babies cribs have been dropped they cant reach them and at night the one fish mobile projects lights in shapes on the ceiling and wall which they both enjoy.

Its warm enough in my house that they dont need any blankets, I have a small heater in there with an auto control and I control the temp to be 23-25 degrees celsius overnight for them. They houdini out of swaddling, sleep sacks, kiddopotamus and first years swaddle blankets, even with arms free..they both hate it now.

They're happy, at bedtime they just go to sleep, and I'm up before they wake up in the mornings so they dont play at bedtime anyway. As for naps, they get 2 a day and once in a while I toss in this soft book made of fabric that rattles when shaken, into each crib and they seem ok with it.
    Thats it for us!

We still have bumpers up on both cribs. My dd still sleeps in her positioner and she has a small, soft kitty blanket. My ds is out of his positioner and he has a doggy blanket. The sleep in warm sleepers with socks in the feet. I do worry that their little legs seem cool in the mornings. I would love to include a blanket; however, I worry about SIDS. Also, ds tosses and turns so much that it would not stay on him!

We have bumpers and a stuffed dog they love. My boys sleep with a blanket. They like to pull it up over their faces, which is scary, but they like the closeness of something soft. I also have a mobile for each of them.

From day one Nicole and Danielle had some toys and dolls in their crib. They also had a crocheted blanket since birth on them. They never had a problem. The only problem was one day their older sister put a beanie baby in with them when they were about 9 months old. We didn't realize that she put anything in with them because she went into their room alone and was talking to them. When we came in she had already had the beanie baby in. Danielle was down for her second nap of the day when I all of a sudden heard a gagging sound and then screaming. I went up to get her and she had thrown up all over everything and there were gold specks in it. She ate the tag on the beanie baby!

This is a picture of them at 12 months with everything that was in their crib from the beginning. Danielle was in Nicole's crib with her and was playing with Nicole's mobile.. she was jealous... we took her mobile out a month earlier cause she was attacking it! Stuff in cribs

Ours sleep in sleep sacks and we have those breathable bumpers in their cribs, otherwise they wake up screaming all the time when they get a leg or arm stuck

Ours each have a crib music toy (aquarium for Bryce and jungle/rainforest for Chloe), bumpers, a safe lovey and a light blanket. Grandma watches them during the day and got them accustomed to blankies with naps, so we keep them on them at night as well when it gets really cold (having a freezing spell here).

As of right now now, we have the bumper pads, light blankets, and Manda's crib has the sleep sheep (www.cloudb.com) tied on it. We are going to buy these cool fairies that hang from the ceiling to put over their cribs, that way they won't be able to reach them when they stand in them.

Okay.. for those WITH bumpers... do any of your kids go UNDER them? I am having that trouble with my son. but if I take them out he bangs his head and cries or gets a limb stuck. [IMG]

We use the sleep sacks for night time and light blankets during the day (which they mostly sleep on top of [IMG]) Annalise has a mobile and Jillian the FP aquarium and a Baby Einstein soft inch worm that attaches to the crib. We took the bumpers out at 5 months and haven't had any limb incidents thank goodness. Annalise did like to go under the bumper which made me nervous.

We have the bumpers in both cribs, I haven't noticed them going under it, but Drew likes to throw one arm over it at times. We also use a fleece blanket and a pacifier. But that is all they have in the cribs with them. They usually sleep in sleepers with the covered feet. But in the summer they wore gowns and a lighter blanket.
