What do you feed babies in?

My girls are 7 1/2 months and off the chart in height. Lately Merrie has flipped the bouncy seat over (they can sit upright in them) and so I didn't feel they are safe anymore. Today I tried the Boppy pillows but they are just too low to the ground and the babies can't drink sitting up in them. Their bedroom is upstairs and I stay up there with them most of the day bc I have back problems and it kills me to take them up and down the stairs several times a day to where their high chairs are... Any ideas or thoughts?

Could you move the highchairs upstairs and then your hubby can move them down if you need them. Also, what about those portable highchairs that strap to a chair, they are relatively inexpensive and can be used as a booster seat later.

    Bouncer/Rocker combo seat

Clink on that link above..this is what we have for our 6 month old boys...it's a bouncer seat rocking chair combo deal but it has a sort of kickstand on the front that when you fold out, they can't rock it.
It also has a feature that vibrates the chair..our boys love it, we use it to feed them in and entertain them also! Hope that helps!

A BebePod (or Bumbo sitters I've heard others call them) would work really well. They are light and you can either leave them or take them up and downstairs. This is what they look like:

You can get them at Walmart or Target or BRU.

Our girls are in exersaucers. They really love them and will spend quite a bit of time in them before becoming fussy.

    Something like this: http://www.baby-equipment-rentals.com/images/exersaucer.jpg

Edit to add: I am quite asleep this morning, apparently. I didn't read in the title that you were talking about feeding. Doh!

I'm probably a terrible mommy but as soon as they could hold their bottles well...I just lay them on the floor with their bottles (they were too distracted in the bouncies...they just rolled around in the boppies instead of eating...and they won't take a bottle sitting straight up...haven't figured out how to tilt their heads back enough for that). We haven't had any problems with ear infections or what not but that's what I've done since the boys were about 7 months old.

We have portable booster seats too. No high chairs. I had boosters for my older kids and they come in so handy for so long. I used them for trips to restaurants and movies until the kids were 3 or more. So, I'm sure we'll get our $20 worth for each booster seat. :)

We use the infant-to-toddler rockers that Jennifer linked to, and they work great -- I've used them from the start. The angle seems a lot better for feeding, too, than bouncies....and, they can't be flipped with the bar up.

Mine are still a long way from holding their own bottles -- they're somewhat behind in fine motor skills -- so I expect to be using these for awhile yet!

Hmmm, the rockers sound like a good idea! We have the Healthy Choice Fisher Price high chairs, but there is NO room upstairs between two cribs, saucers, etc... We've got to keep the saucers up there...
What is the weight limit on the rockers?? My girls are little chubs...Almost 20 lbs at 7 1/2 months...
