for the pickiest 2 yo boy in the world? His twin sister will eat anything almost...she is the best eating kid I have ever seen. Now my oldest DD was picky when she was young...but she did like all your typical meats, corn, green beans, potatoes...etc. The typical meat and potato meal. He is so picky...this is what he lives on: bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, bananas, mac n cheese, pasta with red sauce, mashed potatoes, tacos, grilled cheese, a few cereals, he likes snacks of course... He will not eat any meats (other than meat in tacos)...I can't get him to eat any veggies..no soups..etc. Makes it so hard for dinner. I can make a regular meal like: pork chops, green beans, noodles and the entire family will eat but him..his meal will sit in front of him and no matter what we do..he won't it eat. Even Bella being as good an eater as she is...she doesn't eat a lot of veggies, but she is big in meats and pastas. Camden is starting to not even eat hot dogs..which he always ate. Any ideas?
Keep trying - every so often, re-offer the foods he doesn't like currently. DS is becoming less and less picky with age. However, he still is not "normal" - he doesn't like PBJ, milk, grilled cheese, cheese in general. He will occasionally eat mac n' cheese and he will only drink Diego yogurt. I am lucky that he will eat almost all veggies and fruits. I also don't make a fuss about the foods when we eat. I just put a little of everything on his plate. He started eating chicken again this week. And if he complains, I ask him to take at least a bite. And when all else fails, he eats a cereal bar. Also, I give them a multi vitamin without iron. It is hard when one will eat everything & the other won't.
Gina, I have this problem all the time. The stuff they used to eat is no longer working and then they switch! I just feed them what they will eat and they go to be hungry regularly.....or so it seems. Sometimes it bites me in the middle of the night and DS will come in asking for food  but I am just going to assume that eventually they will eat more than a grilled cheese or a quesadilla!
Maybe you can 'sneak' some veggies in the things he does like. Do you have any of those cookbooks that use purees like the Sneaky Chef, and Deceptively Delicious? I have both of them, but haven't really started using them yet, it's just been too hectic lately. But I do sometimes add V8 to my pasta sauce and baby food carrots to my meatloaf. Maybe you could sneak in some cauliflour puree to his potatoes, or baby food carrots to the pasta sauce. Still offer the veggies and other foods, but sneak in some veggies so you know he is at least getting something. Look into the cookbooks if you haven't already. I think you can even get a few of the recipes online to try. As for meats, mine love turkey sausage, ground beef with gravy, chicken, ham. Of course they go through times where they won't eat what I fix, but then there are times where they ask for seconds 4 times like they did last night! Mine aren't big veggie eaters either, but neither am I! HTH! Good Luck, I know it is frustrating!

My DS doesn't like meat, but he loves veggie burgers! (a baby after my own heart!LOL) He rams in anything made by Morningstar...They are great because they have a lot of protein - which they need! It must be the name Bella, because my Bella LOVES to eat, too!!
I wish I had some advice, but DS is the same way. I'm hoping someday he will eat normally. DD eats almost anything we give her. Our pediatrician said not to worry about it because most kids are that way until about 5.
I'm sure you've gone this route, but chicken nuggets from the store, baked in the oven? That's about all mine would eat for a really long time. Then they got to where they would eat like rotisserie chicken but not much else. They still won't eat any vegetables, but LOVE all kinds of fruit. Emily won't eat ANY pastas. Amber just recently acquired a taste for mac n cheese, but loves pasta with red sauce. Amber won't eat cereal, but Emily LOVES cold cereal. They love waffles and pancakes but up until yesterday, neither of them used syrup. Offered Emily syrup yesterday to dip her waffle into and she loved it, but she won't eat catsup. Amber LOVES catsup though. Emily loves Tampico Punch (it's pink) and the Nesquik Strawberry. Not Amber. You know, what do you do. Just keep trying.
Have you tried giving him raw vegies to dip in ranch? Also, how about sneaking in vegie-pastas. Spinach noodles etc might go a long way to getting him healthy stuff. He eats bagels with cream cheese so try to use the sun-dried tomato kind, or mash up an avocado to mix with the cream cheese. Also, how about trying the V8 splash, ya know the vegie-fruit mix drink. DS loves that. His eating habbits might not change much, but hopefully he will get in some nutients. Can you sneak in some vegies in the red sauce too? Or, try some carrot cake muffins, or scrabbled eggs with some peas mixed in. Just some thoughts, things that work about as often as they don't for our 3 toddlers. Generally, we do not get to eat much as a family right now as my DH works 3d shift, so the kids get their food and I am counting points so will get something else. Good Luck!
