What do you do with your twin clothes?

Since the twins are our last babies, I'm starting to get rid of clothes as they grow out of them. I'm really anal about keeping their clothes nice so they look almost new or barely used. I can't seem to find other twin moms though to buy them! I've advertised on Craigslist and not one bite. I wish I could find used twin clothes, but there is hardly any ever on Ebay. So what does everyone do with their clothes???? I even went to our local Mom's of Twins' sale a couple weeks ago and I could only find 3 outfits that had a matching one. I was expecting most of the clothes to have matches so I was very disappointed.

you should consider selling on ebay. I know that's where i've gotten most of my girls matching outfits.

Have you tried posting them in the shopping and auction forum here? I just bought the boys a bunch of clothes today from a post there.

The Junior League in our area has a "Kidz Klozet" sale twice each year. All items must be good quality and excellent condition. You are given a registration number and an assigned day to bring in the items you plan to sale. All items must be marked and tagged with the price and your number. The Junior League then puts everything together and gets ready for a big sale. Those people selling items can come in for the preview sale the day before it is opened to the public. At the preview sale my daughter and I were around 300th in line waiting to get in when the doors open. They hold it at large retail centers that have previously been closed. It's such a big event they have to have police officers to direct the traffic. We put all the twin clothes and big items they don't use anymore in the sale. About a week or so after the sale the Junior League sends my daughter a check for the items sold. They take a percentage for their organization and the work they put into hosting the event. At this sale they have a specialty area of twin items, twin strollers, etc. I even purchased the hard to find double catepillar swing at the last sale and purchased it for a mere $15.00. I don't think the seller realized how hard they were to find, but for the most part, you can put a reasonable price on the items and they will sale. You don't have to practically give them away like you would a yard sale. The swings and strollers are reasonable for someone buying them, yet the seller doesn't get taken either. You might check with the Junior League in your area and see if they do anything of this nature. Ours has their next sell in February. We will be participating again by selling items and again by purchasing larger sizes for the boys as well as toys. The requirement they have is everything must be for the upcoming season and in excellent condition. Something like this would be perfect for you to sell your items. Even with the percentage charged by the Junior League at the last sale my daughter netted several hundred dollars from items she sold.

I've sold or buy most of the girls clothes at the MOM's sales. Maybe if you contact the MOM's club in your area you can find someone with girls a bit older than yours that may have matching clothes for sale. Good Luck

I've bought my grandsons lots of clothes on Ebay, some are matching and some are coordinated outfits that are similar. I always find a pretty decent selection. Some Ebay seller will list one item only but then state in the description that if you're looking for an identical outfit for a twin, they have a second listing. Their item description/title usually has the word twins in it. I've purchased several items that way but I like it when I can find both outfits in one auction.

In our area there are several huge community consignment sales held in the spring and fall. It's not specifically twin items but I have been able to find some matching items for my grandsons there, and last month I sold a few items there for my DD. That might be a resource for you if your community has something like that. The ones here are much like aandax246 described. They are great and so much fun!

    Good luck!
