What do you do with your free time?

Hey ladies,

I just realized the two older kids are outside and both the twinkies are asleep. Am I folding the six baskets of laundry that are on my bed? Am I doing last nights dishes? No, I am here on ebay and TS! What do you guys do when you get 10 minutes of freetime (the older two are now in!)

Exactly what you're doing, TS of course. This site really helps me procrastinate on doing my housework. :blush: For those really good naps (rarely happens) I like to catch up on my DVR shows.

What free time???Just kidding, if not the computer or housework, I love to just read a book, or have a bubble bath...that's relaxing just to think about, it doesn't happen too often. Maybe that makes it more special!

 

If it's only 10 minutes, I probably would fold laundry! But I'm a WOHM, so I have plenty of time for TS and the internet at work. If it's a good block of free time (i.e., naptime on weekends), I read a book, work in the garden, organize something around the house, watch a show on DVD, or fall asleep on the couch.

 

Now that it is nice out as soon as I put the girls down for their morning nap I wash bottles and breakfast dishes and then grab the monitor, throw on my bathing suit, grab my US Weekly and head out to the backyard to lay out in the sun. I usually only stay out there for about 30 minutes but it is GREAT. Besides that it is tv and computer time.

 

My free time is usually spent on the computer, watching my recorded shows, catching up on housework and laundry. Not so much fun, but this is what we mothers do!

Ditto here! Occasionally I will catch a quick nap but usually TS is calling me so loudly I can't sleep!! :laughing:

 

When nap time is happening, I am usually sitting there beside them or on here, LOL

 

Well, lets see...I just recently earned a gold star for my amount of posts so my answer to this would have to be that I spend my time on TS. If I am not here on TS, I am cleaning the house. I used to read a lot but since finding this site I have put books aside. I need to start reading again!

 

Free time ... I'll have to look that word up in the dictionary. I have no idea what it means. :umm:

I should be doing housework and I do sometimes but I am either on the compter, watching my shows I have dvr'd or on the phone. Sometimes I will catch a nap but not that often. It's good to see I am not the only one who spends their free time this way

 

well - I am feeding both babies right now - I have figured out how to prop them one on each side so that I can have my right hand free to type on TS!!!! but this is how I spend my one hand free time!!!!

 

Free time...what's that? I catch up on laundry, clearing clutter, putting stuff away, etc. I'd like to work on my scrapbooks, paint my bedroom, and a multitude of other things, but I just don't get that much free time.

 

What else can you do besides get on TS when all you seem to have is 10 minute increments of free time! Plus, I have to get on here to make sure I know what the heck I'm doing, or to make sure I'm "not the only one" with whatever is happening that day! If I had large increments of free time, I would LOVE to sew more! I STILL have not finished their nursery bedding and curtain!

 

I'm a big geek....I like to play video games.

 

The free time I catch here and there is mostly spent here, on TS! I mostly like to try to catch up on laundry, cleaning etc. I LOVE the post about laying out in the sun. I'm gonna have to try that! B)

 

I wish I could say I did something productive when I have free time (i.e during naps or once they've gone to bed at night) but more than likely I sit down at the computer to email, internet shop or just surf. If I'm feeling really motivated, I'll lay on the sofa and read. I should probably get around to finally folding laundry or cleaning the bathroom or doing the dinner dishes from last night....I could go on and on!!!

 

Honestly, I usually end up on the internet or watching things on the DVR.

They usually take a nice, long morning nap, so at that time, I get DD ready for daycare, wash all the bottles and prepare the formula and bottles for the day. I also do dishes, start laundry, etc. They tend to be fussy in the afternoons, so I try and get what I need to get done before noon.

Recently, I've started to have a "to do" list so that if I have a half hour or more chunk of time, I can directly go to do whatever the task is, instead of floundering, thinking "where do I start? I know there was *something* I was supposed to do?!"

Yesterday, I finally managed to get my "thank you" notes out from my baby shower of 4 months ago because it was on the list. *blush*

Today, I finally uploaded all my digital images from the time the twins were born to Costco and ordered them for printing to be picked up. Now, I can start putting them in albums and someday, start their scrapbook. (of course, never finished DD's, but that's beside the point - lol) This was on the list.

It's a long list, but I'm definitely feeling good that it's getting smaller!!

 

Well, I guess all of us can say free time leads us here to TS. But, other than that when I have free moments....typical housework that never ends and a little crocheting.

Same here!

 

First housework, then TS. If it really is only 10 minutes of free time I drift onto TS and look at everything I can. :blush:

 

TS of course. Goes to show you how little free time I have lately.
I haven't watched Desperate Housewives (online) in ages and ages!

 

I watch All My Children that I Tivo everyday...I am usually 2 days or more behind though. I am also kind of a neat freak so I am probably doing something of that nature. I think we always have laundry to do or bottles to wash so that too.
