What do I do with an infant?

I was freaking out last night because I suddenly came to the realization that I have no idea what to do with an infant anymore! lol. I literally do not remember ANYTHING I did with the boys. It was such a difficult time for us I think my mind has had mercy on me and completely wiped any memory out of my head. I'm assuming it will all come back to me (at least I hope) but does anyone else feel this way?

 

Join the club!! They are so tiny! I keep running into little socks that I remember being too big on the babies' feet at the time. You will get the hang of it. Just think how it was before you had any kids!

 

I use and love the book 'Baby Play' by (Gymboree) Dr. Masi/Leiderman It's quick easy to use and perfect for 0-9 months. I think they have another book for older children but I haven't gotten that far yet. I feel like all I do is spend time on the floor these days.

 

It'll come back to you...just like riding a bike!! And you'll feel a lot more confident too.

 

I have a good memory... I remember everything! I especially remember all the things I will do differently this time, LOL

When the baby is born I'll be five years out of the 'infant game'. I remember a lot but I'm sure there are things that I'm going to need help from the First Year board for!

 

You'll be fine. My twins are almost 10 years apart from the last baby I had and I did fine. I had the same fears and after I had the boys it was like I knew exactly what to do. Good luck to you!

 

LOL, my mom ad I were just talking about this last night. I told her that I wish this next baby could just come home on a schedule and everything already done for me (umbilical cord off, meconium poopies gone, etc.) just like it was for the girls...minus the 17 day NICU stay. So, you aren't alone!
