What do/did you do with their bottles

My twins are almost off of bottles, and so I was starting to wonder, what do you do with their bottles? They are clean, but not pristine, but I hate to just throw them away. And, we are done with kids, so I don't need to save them for any more in my family. I don't know anyone local who is expecting, which led me here - is there anything I can do with them?
    Thanks!

I put all the bottles in one ziplog bag and sold them in a yard sale. The ones I didn't sell I gave to goodwill. :pardon:

Really? Places around here say that they don't want donated bottles, and I can't get a reason as to why.

to be honest, i threw them in the garbage. i was having such a hard time making the final transition to sippy cups only that I had to get them completely out of my house or i knew i would cave in again. and besides that...I ALWAYS HATED MY AVENT BOTTLES!!! they leaked all the freakin time so couldn't bare the thought of giving them away and doing that to anyone. i was so happy to throw those pieces of crap bottles away!!

I threw what little bottles we had (I BF them) in the garbage.

I took all the bottles and put them in a rubbermaid bin. When a neighbor was expecting, I passed them on to her. When she was done they come back, then I passed it onto someone else. The rule was use what you need, replace as necessary and then pass on. Some of my bottles I had been given by a neighbor to start anyway.

I took them to our multiples club sale in the spring, they have "free, take me" bin, and put them in there.

I plan on consigning mine Emily. Our consignment shop takes them. :unknw:

Check with your local Women's Crisis centers or Pregnancy Crisis centers. I actually put mine in a garage sale and a lady that worked for a pregnancy crisis group bought every one that I had. You could also check with Homeless shelters and churches.

I listed mine on www.freecycle.org and gave them away for free. There was one lady that took them all.

I just gave mine to a girl I work with but before that I just bagged them up and threw them in the basement with the rest of the outgrown baby stuff

I will be giving them to the Salvation Army. Mine are mostly glass so they still look pretty good and someone can get a lot of use out of them.

i just bought 4 oz dr. brown's bottles off e-bay. you may want to try to sell them that way. i've bought all new nipples, but the bottles themselves are definitely reusable and i prefer to recycle. so when i'm done, i expect to find a place to donate or sell them on e-bay.

I'm giving ours to my SIL who is expecting twins.... but if I didn't have her to give them to, I'd sell them for really cheap at the twins' club sale -- like $2 for the whole batch. We used the kind with drop-in liners, so the bottles themselves are fine. (I'm also giving SIL our nipples, but I don't know if she's going to use them or buy new. I wouldn't try to sell someone my old nipples.)

I'm going to toss them since they were the cheapy Gerber kind anyway. They are "well used". ;)

I'm saving all my bottles, we plan to have another child. After the next child is done I'm planning on having a huge garage sale and selling them.

After some checking - I found a place to donate them, even though a lot of places around here do not want them. Newborns in Need has a chapter around here, so that is probably where they will end up. Thanks for all of your ideas!
