okay, so mine are doing nothing except sleeping and eating (barely) and sitting looking around the room with their little wide eyes. but, more than anything, it's sleeping. this is normal, right? the doc asked us a list of things and said they were perfectly normal, but for some reason, i'm expecting more activity.

8 day olds eat, sleep, pee and poop. Sounds like you've got to happy babies!

Totally agree with pp, they sleep pretty much all day except for maybe when they are crying to eat and shortly after they eat. Changing their diaper is activity. In another week or so they will start to "wake up" a little more.

If they're not crying around the clock (mine were at that age) I'd say you're super mom. Nice job! Enjoy.

Eat, poop, sleep, repeat! I think newborns sleep something like 18-20 hours a day.

Eat, pee, poop, cry, sleep and if they are little boys possibly give mommy a shower (and no not the kind you want LOL). Other than that nope not too much activity at that age. Trust me you will miss it when they are getting into everything a couple months from now.

Eat, sleep, pee, poop and repeat. Be thankful while it last. The poo still isn't quite toxic yet - but it will be ----soon. Congratulations on your little ones. They are such a blessing and joy.

The poo doesn't become toxic until they start on solids. then watch out! :bad:
