What could it be?

Both of my twinkies have coughs, colds, fevers, and rashes on their cheeks. I am going to get them into the pedi tomorrow, but does anyone have any clue what it could be? I've never seen a face rash with a cold before.

I don't know, but I just wanted to offer some :hug99: and support. It stinks when the babies are sick. I hope it doesn't last long.

Are they drooling more b/c they are congested? That could cause skin irritation and a drool rash maybe??

I wondered about that, but the rash is only on their cheeks and not at all on their chins. :unknw:

It took a while to update you all, but it was RSV again. The rash was just from dryness. This is the 2nd time we have had RSV, and we have even been getting Synagis. I hate to think how sick they would have been without the Synagis! Ryan also has an ear infection, and Jenna also has adenovirus and a 103 fever. I feel like thse poor babies have been sick for 5 months straight. I feel like I am doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is. I am sure that my older kids bring germs home from school, but the twins have been sick so mcuh. We really need a break around here!

Poor babies, I hope there feeling better soon and that this is finally the end of RSV/cold and flu season. Mine haven't had RSV but I feel like Emmett has had a cough and runny nose all winter too!

    Good luck

I'm sure you're doing everything you can to keep them healthy. It's just been a terrible cold and flu season this year. At the boys 6 month check-up their dr said they would start picking up things from siblings even more so than when they were newborns. He was right---colds, hospitalized for sinus infection that spread to eye, stomach bug with relapses, etc. It can be really depressing, but I'm sure with summer coming you'll get over the hump. I hope everybody feels better!

I hope they feel better soon! That is sooo hard, and as someone else has said, its has been a harsh year for being sick. I am sure you are doing your best to make sure they don't get sick. However, your kids are a carrier b/c of school. Emily is, and so am I because of school. Hugs!
