Hi all. I'm sure this topic has been discussed numerous times BUT......I have to obviously fit 2 convertible car seats in my Nissan Armada. (like a tahoe or a expedition) Wondering what two seat I can fit in side by side and still allow the 3rd seat on the row to fold down so my older kids can get in the back seat. (okay did that make any sense?) I am looking at the fisher-price safe voyage that is actually made by Britax. All the safety options at half the price. Just wanted to know how you are all fitting two bulky convertibles in your cars. The boys are now 14 months and just at their limit on rear facing. I had an account before all the changes, but can't figure it out, so I had to re-register. I'll get around to adding a ticker and info later. Thanks for all you input!

We have both the alpha Omega elites and the britax marathons and they are both to wide(we have a expedition and neiter will allow for the seat to fold down so we keep it folded down). I think the radians are supposed to be narrower.

We have the Britax Marathons in our Ford Expedition and Nissan Maxima.

I don't know how much help this is, since we don't have an SUV, but we have one Britax Marathon and one Britax Roundabout in our Subaru wagon. They fit fine (one on either end), but they don't leave much room between them.

We have the Britax marathons and we have a Tahoe. The middle section of the second row of seats doesn't fold down, but an adult can fit between the two carseats in the backseat, so I would imagine if it did fold down, kids could access the third row.

I replaced my Cosco Alpha Omega's with the Radian sunshine 65. I absolutely love these seats. You can fit 3 in one row, they are very slim. They also sit upright more and the legroom for the girls is wonderful! I'm thinking of buying a 2nd set of these, if I can sale my Cosco's for something reasonable!

I have the Durango & we decided instead of buying new car seats to put the twins in the 3rd row. We will leave one of the second row seats tipped open & put the new baby on the other side of the second row.

We've just replaced our Britax Roundabouts with Radian Sunshine 65s. I love them!

We ordered them from MyStroller.com, which had one of the lowest prices (179.99), plus I phoned in and got the "twin discount" of 10%....and free shipping!!

They are sturdy & the kids seem comfortable. Plus, I love that the width is smaller (sometimes we need to get 3 car seats in my husbands car which is small). I'm happy with them

    Good luck!

We have the Graco Snugrides in our van... they're very low cost, and no frill, but they work well. We tried the Alpha Omega from Costco, too, and they didn't fit. Never heard of the Radian models... I think I'll look them up!

Hi there. We had a suburban when the boys were born. We fit TWO Marathons both RF and FF in the 2nd row seat with a Booster for dd. We could move her booster easily to fold the seat down to get into the back. But we rarely had to as dh took the 3rd row seat out for storage ( which was barely big enough as it was with 3 kids and 2 adults stuff on vacation.... :p ).

I have heard of the Radians. They are nice and narrow but sit too upright for my kids. I tried my boys in one in a friends van and his head kept flopping forward and down after he fell asleep. Not good to me. But if that's not an issue I bet you can easily fit 2 of them in the 60/40 folding seat :)

we have the evenflo titan deluxes and love them. We had a suburban and you could fit 3 seats.. now we have a pacifica, and the seats are bucket style. Also, evenflo replaced the seat pad on one of mine for free because it tore in the washer after i washed it a few times.. one email and they replaced it withing 2 days.. great customer service. We got them at BRU so we got the twin discount.. paid 89.99 for each. They have one of the highest \safety records of all the convertible seats.
