So I got about an hours sleep last night, about another hour this morning. My stomach is not good. I did not get sick to my stomach all night, but my stomach was nauseous, maybe sour is the word, I don't know. The babies were moving non-stop and when they do that is does make me sick. Hubby thinks too the babies are growing so more stretching and stuff. I don't know. Not too concerned why I feel crappy, I'm pregnant with twins=feeling crappy. I didn't get sick all night, but I did this morning after breakfast. Was able to hold down soup for lunch, but still feel yucky. So long story short, what can I take. Tums work great for heartburn, but this is not heartburn, so Tums not working. Hubby is heading to the store in a bit, so hoping he can pick up something for me. Dianna
Coke is good to drink. I am not sure why.. may be the caffeine, but I know it has helped my children with the flu. It seems to help settle their stomach if they just sip it. I also like to suck on candy canes when I feel sick. It does help and luckily there is a steady supply at almost every store right now!! Hope you feel better soon. :hug99:

I use to drink it all the time, but when having soda now, I have sprite and things like that, coke is way too thick now. And candy canes...I am an odd person who can't stand candy canes or anything mint, mint, peppermint, those make me sick to my stomach lol I know I am not normal. Dianna

I can't do the mint thing either. Candy canes, I can do when I am sick, but that is the only time! Otherwise I get sick to my stomach, too! Just call us a pair! Maybe you could stomach a diet coke. I don't drink cola much either. I have only had water and milk for most of my pg. I use to drink Pepsi, but went to diet Pepsi, when I found out I was pre-diabetic. I figured I would quit my soda drinking and save the sugars and sodium for my regular foods with being pg. Wish I could have been more help. Hope you find something to help!
tums doesnt do anything for me... i prefer gaviscon. i take a couple whenever my stomach doesnt feel right. they seem to work good and i always get hungry a little bit after taking them. hope you feel better! amy

After drinking water all day it is a nice treat lol Dianna QUOTE(foppa2102 @ Dec 14 2007, 03:56 PM) tums doesnt do anything for me... i prefer gaviscon. i take a couple whenever my stomach doesnt feel right. they seem to work good and i always get hungry a little bit after taking them. hope you feel better! amy Is Gaviscon a tablet like tums or something else? Dianna
[Dianna Is Gaviscon a tablet like tums or something else? Dianna
yes gaviscon is a chewable tablet found near the tums in the stores. it is on my 'safe list' of drugs to take when pregnant. amy
Gaviscon is an anti-acid and it also works great for sour stomach, but I thought they tasted awful, like sour yogurt. you have to chew them for them to work right. they work better than tums or maalox because they build a foamy barrier against the stomach acids. I hope you are feeling better soon.
Going to try it. Stomach is ok right now, but the babies are being still. But I want to have something for when they start up later. Dianna
Dianna- I am one of the weird people who actually LIKES the taste of gaviscon. other people i know hate it. it tastes kind of carbonated, when you chew it, it kind of expands and creates a foam in your mouth and i kind of get a kick out of it... lol. plus it works magic for me. i hope it does for you too! amy
QUOTE(Dianna @ Dec 14 2007, 03:49 PM) So will I have flash backs of pop rocks? lol Dianna lol i wouldnt exactly call it that... btw- make sure you get the regular gaviscon and NOT the 'acid breakthrough formula' (that one is basically tums and doesnt work). the regular gaviscon has a more plain white bottle, and the acid breakthrough formula has a really bright and colorful label. it's easy to get sucked into the pretty bottle as i did one time, but now i have 23 tabs left out of a 25 tab bottle and nothing to do with them! amy

Works so far, but my stomach wasn't too bad when I took it, later will be the real test. Didn't taste as bad as I thought they might. Dianna

It is hard to describe. Hoping it doesn't last the rest of the pregnancy. Dianna
I wish I had some advice, but I just wanted to send hugs and say I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this discomfort. I was sick early on in my pregnancy and I can't imagine having it last to 24 weeks. BIG HUGS.
