I kinda lumped these 2 questions together. I was readng where people were layering 3 mattress pads and sheets to lake changing easier. My question is I have one mattress pad and 1 sheet and I practically break my thumb to get the sheets on. I know its suppose to be snug but OMG! [IMG] The sheets I have our carters, walmart and target and to be honest the walmart ones fit better than the other 2-but not enough to do 3 layers.

My next question. We are doing stage 2 beechnut baby food. They have apples and blueberries and apples and pineapple can you give these to a 7 month old. I thought I remember something about waiting to give citrus but I have mommy brain and can't remember. [IMG] Pedi is not abck in the office till Tues and although it can wait till then I was wondering.
    TIA

Gosh, I don't even know what brand my sheets are....I think most of them are from Target, probably their store brand. I think all of them fit pretty tight like that. I did the layering thing with my DS. It is a neat thing to do! I haven't had the organizational skills to do it with the twins.

I'm not sure about the food question. I buy Gerber and DelMonte mostly and if it says stage 2 on it then they are eating it! I never heard anything about not eating blueberries or pineapple before a certain age.

***By the way, love the name Jenna! [IMG] And our twins are 1 day apart!***

Here is a link that should answer just about any food related questions you will have. I think this is for fresh food though. If you are using store bought baby food then it's ok. I think it's more or less just flavor they put in the jars. I wouldn't worry about that.

I don't layer my sheets simply because I figured out real quick when the girls were in the throes of reflux it goes allllll they way through and then I had to wash 3 sheets instead of one. [IMG] I have one pad and one sheet. When they drool or spit up I just change it and I agree with you, it is a huge pain, but what can ya do? [IMG]

OMG - I know what you mean about sheets! Drives me crazy and I break a darn sweat changing them AND it's times 2 since we have 2 cribs! Sheesh! [IMG]

So, we use knit sheets instead. I never use the cotton sheets if I don't have to. Knit sheets are a dream because they are stretchy. I get them at BRU (Koala brand). We also bought some flannel sheets there for the winter and they are stretchy too! No more anger, cussing and sweating! I also use a mattress pad underneath and change them every 2 weeks.

Food. We use Gerber and sometimes DelMonte, too. PP listed the wholesome baby food site and they are a great reference. I just bought some frozen blueberries and peaches at the Target this weekend to throw in the food processor.

I just ordered the Ultimate Crib Sheet for this very reason.

Basically it's a sheet, waterproof, and pad all in one. The corners have snaps that go around the crib bars so you aren't constantly having to wrestle with the mattress/bumper. You can still keep a regular sheet on for aesthetics.

My friend swears by them (used with 22 month old since birth). She has 3 and puts them all on at once.

We just put the Ultimate Crib Sheets on our cribs this weekend, I have heard such great things about them.
